With heavy heart I must conclude that @sage shell is mostly done with JAM. I have to be honest and tell everyone that I am greatful that @sage shell implemented many ideas that I gave him. Now that he quit his fulltime job, he must earn money from his games, he must focus on the outcome - whom of us don't... 🤷🏻‍♂️ My expectations of the further development of JAM are very very little at the moment, alight I'd wish they wouldn't... I had so many things in mind that would make JAM better... 😔 The Iranian livery for the Tomcat is one of the smallest ideas to make the game better...

Sorry to make you think this. I have taken a small break from JAM while I get the new RTS off the ground but I am by no means do with JAM. I’ve been working on bigger changes with are slower to do. I’ll continue working on it for a long time to come. With the liveries specifically this is so much harder than it should be sorry. I am really bad at it and so far my attempts to find someone to help with them have failed.

It would help a lot if I could get specific top view and lots of shots of what the livery should look lie. It’s hard to me to know what the specific request is the right one unless we can get a concrete concensus

Frankly I think JAM’s main appeal is it being a sandbox

You could probably gut the game down to just the missions and mission editor and it’d be about 80% of what I’ve enjoyed about the game

But I feel RTS (please rename it) will be a better implementation of everything else

As long as F-15 and Greg are in the game me and @digital bridge will be happy with it

Your answer rises hope - but at the same time it reduces the expectations... I will have an eye on what's happening with JAM, but in the moment, without you adding features that deepen the gameplay for a while, I will wait for AAR implementation, or functional AWACS integration, or more advanced carriers landings, then I will be back. For the Iranian livery I will look what I will find. Maybe we can ask some DCS modder that made this livery for the Heatblur F-14 to help...

I don't know if this RTS game is something for me... I want to create a scenario in the editor and then be in full control of the unit that I choose. Mission planing, so to speak, and then fly it! 👍🏻

Ah yes, "then fly it" is super interesting. So technicall you could fly the jets in the RTS as the AI is just controlling the stick, throttle and rudder.

I'm going deep on flight model for the RTS and for JAM.

But in RTS is the word "strategy" and that's what makes me think I will not like it so much... Strategy games are too much time consuming for me especially with building buildings units and so on... 🤷🏻‍♂️
