This is pretty straight forward, no enemies, no time limit, just an oasis to relax, practice maneuvers and maybe a good testing ground to implement new features like
Airial refueling, communicating with ATC, the tanker or your wingman
OR BLUE ANGELS??? this could be an aerobatics gamemode though, where you try to reach each point like the time trial but cooler.
I understand many will disagree with me but I'm just full of ideas that i need to blurt out

i think that the free flight game mode should event random events, like enemy strategic bombers approaching and you have to intercept them and "warn" them and shoot them down in needed or maybe from an ATC will tell you about a Civilian airliner being intercepted by an unknown enemy fighter and you have to intercept that fighter and push him away or take him down if he became dangerous
everything can happen or maybe nothing will happen in this free flight game mode
