custom matches wont work

When I try to create or join a custom match, it enters me into a quick match, I’m definitely pressing the right buttons. I dont have any screenshots because theres nothing visually wrong other than being in a quick match

isnt it like you need to put the custom code first and if you dont someone elso joins into the same custom match as you with no name

i just tried that, thats not working either. I tried playing with my brother and it created a custom match when he creates a custom match, it shows the code on the top of the screen when he does it
