Absolutely. There are 20 people on a track who are protected by a carbon fibre monocoque, HANS devices, Halos etc. There are hundreds of people working in a pit lane exposed to the environment. ANY infringement that could impair the safety of those people must be extremely severe.

As things are now they benefit taking out their rivals too often. So I feel it should be judged more from what effect it has on the opponent. In the cost cap era, in the event of a crash, if another driver is found "predominantly" at fault, then 50% of the repair costs should be covered by that team. At least the allocation amount... not physically handing over cash.

What would happen if Mazepin for example crashed 5 times with extensive damage and used up the budget for repairs? No more racing for him because they've spent their cap?
