There is now greater detail when the signal can be given that the wheel nut has been fully tightened, once this is done, the team can proceed with releasing the car from the pit box.

They don't take it "out of proportion" when they hand out drive throughs for unsafe releases or incorrectly fit tyres either. Rules don't exactly work so that someone has to be injured for a penalty to be awarded.

And they are usually HARSH in the pits normally since it's the most dangerous area of the track.

It does beg the question... what if this was during the race? There potentially could have been a lot more mechanics in the pits.

Sometimes teams let their reserve drivers spend time in FP1 to justify their payment (not really) and get feed back from them about how the car works so they can compare it to simulator and give some input to teams

He’s shown a few times he’s happy to joke about his mistakes and seems very composed in the pre race press conferences. However I think even in his battle with mick and the odd car positioning in the race (blocking under blue flags) he’s not really got the best temperament. Also no words need to be said about the video that came out pre season. Just a shame to see him have some good qualities when there are so many bad both on and off track

Not really. I don’t think you understand why Mercs have been slow in the last few races. What happened was, while RB brought truckloads worth of Upgrades to Austria, Styria and France, Mercs didn’t do so and declared that they would turn their entire focus on 22. But, realising the Championship is slipping away, they have planned to bring many upgrades at GB and maybe even later, but wait for the Championship to go down till the wire.

they aren't bringing many upgrades. There's a few things that were already in the pipe, NOTHING that will gain .3-.5 second. The floor makes it impossible to challenge RBR they have so much more downforce so they can run the wing light everywhere. Interview Juggin mentioned was only shown on Sky I think so I haven't seen that either. But just search on YT and you find another post race interview where he says he think the pen was unnecessary and that it felt the pens after against Perez were to compensate since they gave out the first one. And I agree since over the years we've seen that alot without any further action. I can buy they gave Perez his first since then it was contact. But the second one was too harsh imo.

Anyway I hope Perez will have only good races from now on so RB can break the Merc monopoly.

Well RBR breaking the rules is different to the FIA changing the rules to make them win. The PU is fine, the speed is coming from running less downforce, though it's odd their "reliability" changes have definitely increased the power (could be batt though). The rear wing was clearly illegal. FIA wanted to shake up the running order, I don't think they expected it to be such a breeze for RBR but that's what has happened. Shame really.

Tbh, I could link some F1.com articles which state the changes were to benefit the Mercs (as of 2020) but later in 2021 everyone was taken aback by the fact that I tbenefitted the High rake cars.

You can’t expect a modern formula 1 car to not flex. Illegal front wing or Rear wing or not, the test from Baku showed that all wings and front flex just as much. Mercedes have that front wing in years so why complain about that now. Red bull has always had a flexy rear wing, it does not change the fact that all team had either flexy wing or front
