So I’m in USA. ESPN for the last 3 seasons has shown every race through sky sports. So you can watch for free if you have ESPN access. Personally I bought F1 tv package last season and this season. I can replay the races if I miss them live and there is all the f2 f3 and historic content on there. Also I can watch F1 tv broadcasts or Sky broadcast through the app. I think it’s very worth the 80 dollars per year

Also, even though they are British bias, if Martin Brundle is announcing for Sky sports that’s one I tune into. I really like his commentary

How does pitting work. When I play f1, let's say I'm 5th, but when I go to pit I'm all of a sudden 12th, how do drivers keep there position.

Pitting in f1 works like this - when a driver needs to change their tyres they go in the pit - around 20 people change his tyres and the whole process under regular conditions takes around 20 seconds. Under safety car or virtual one - you lose less time in general
