I think the FIA did the right thing by following the rules to the letter in this matter.
It is no fault of Ferrari and it is very unfortunate and costly. And I’m sure Ferrari will recover at least some of the costs involved.
But as far as the sporting and technical regulations go, it’ll just open up a can of worms for future matters if the decision to change the rules in this case was carried out.
Also consider the impact to the other 9 teams… Sainz with fresh components without penalty would be a potentially huge advantage.
I think the FIA did their due diligence with regards to the manhole covers. This failure was quite unusual.

The car alone is as you can see not the only factor - it’s an important one but certainly if you don’t have it in you - you will struggle. He hasn’t made any big mistakes this year. This has been one of the most dominant seasons ever by a driver (and a car) - winning the constructor’s championship on his own is not a small feat

Okay, now - if we ignore the favorite teams thing - this has been probably the most dominant season in the history of F1 - Max has 19/22 wins, 21/22 podiums and worst place is 5 😄 Gap to 2nd place is more than gap between places 2-22. Max would win the constructor's championship also if he was alone in the team. Not a single mistake this year, he finished in all the races and was cruising to victories for the majority of the season. LIke him or not - Max was outstanding in 2023. Perfect synergy car-driver. There is little else he could do better over the season - apart from those 3 msising wins 😄

I think, as this game is F1 related, that when one reads 'real f1 chat', that that can be understood as 'a place to talk about anything related to F1', "seriously" - this is, 'real talk'.

Max again. There was no improvement done on the RB since the summer break, they were just cruising to victory (even Ham said it). Early next season (bar technical issues if any) if they keep up the momentum there is no one that could stop him. And this will repeat until the 2026 regulation changes

And I do get the feeling they will sweep next two seasons easily also. The advantage is too big right now
