Yeah, all of these penalties are ridiculous.. and the track limits imposed there are just whack. They need to fix this as granted it does make the race unpredictable, interesting and downright funny but it’s also not right or okay or fair to the drivers at the same time, clearly the rules on track limits are way to strict and overly extreme at this particular circuit.

I understand that to be Q1 = the hardest of the 3 compounds the tyre supplier allocates for that particular race (?) and Q3 = the softest? (or has that available tyre choice changed too, in these years - I can't quite remember now... 🤦🤦 😵😓😓 )

You are correct … softest tyre will be in the Q3 , hardest for Q1

In terms of Qualifying nothing was ever more exciting then 1 car on track in the schumi era. Yes depending on conditions some drivers got and advantage coming out later but it always mixes up the grid a lot which only enhanced the racing in my opinion.

In terms of who comes out first you can do a reverse of the drivers championship standings menacing max would be first. If you really wanted or just make it a random ballot each week.

The order for going out was decided from back to front following the finishing order in the previous GP...
I think 1 lap super pole (with race fuel) was ok. And exciting too. No towing shows xD or similar to get the pole nor waiting for track conditions and not getting before the 00.00 time to start the flying lap, and qualifying ending before starting the last lap xDD 🤦 (do I remember any from Kimi, in his Ferrari stint? 🤣🤣🤦🤦 )
