To understand F1 you really need to do your research about the sport, obviously if you just watch it on race day you won’t really learn much but just how much drivers curse on the radio lol

I think the broadcasting and commentators can do a lot more In this section. They can educate in Free practice only talk like how the sport is etc, then in quali they talk about the format and how it works, and race nothing special the usual.

I think what they miss most is the passion that used to surround the sport. Murray Walker had an infectious passion for motorsport which helped viewers develope their interest, David Croft celebrity spotting is nothing but a distraction.

Crofty is good, the commentators are good. But their agenda and how the broadcast should change focus. Their theme etc.

They did little bit of that in free practice, I felt like I was learning something but already knew so. But can helpful for Newcomers

Perhaps more behind the scenes stuff. Like I have to go to twitter to find out what upgrades teams are brining. Often commentators don’t even talk about it much. “Specifically”

Man, I was trying to play F1 2022 in VR.

It is almost impossible to not crash frequently.

The field of view is very limited, front and sides, you have the halo, the car is long and wide, accels and brakes too fast.

IRL I just have a few hours in Go Karting (which is slow, have plenty of view and a small footprint).

It is insane how they (F1 drivers) can drive so fast and close and have just a few incidents every race.

By the way, George is underperforming for me, was expecting more from him.

The car is not as stable as some, sainz wasn't error prone before. Ferrari has had issues with clumsy accidents for years now. A weaker performance highlights these issues, all drivers have them, Sainz was stronger here and I doubt he would have had the same issue in this race but he would and has in others.

Ferrari has improved so much, they can continue and make things easier handling wise. Tactically though, they need to be purged.

It’s definitely not a problem, but the problem is not accepting things that are actually true. And I’m completely stubborn and I will try to actually make you realize that the throttle / accelerator was not an issue. As soon as Charles released it and went on the breaks throttle was at 0 and stayed that way until the crash. No matter how big fan you are, sometimes you have to admit that your favorite made a mistake. And here - Charles did a stupid one that cost him the win. Again. He tends to do such silly little mistakes but at least he’s learning from them and that’s why he’s liked even by fans of other teams
