I might just quit playing this game bro. Ever since series 5, I've only matched up 50/50. Half of the games, I've faced off against real players, who have 50+ better team score, the 10% buff and crazy boosts. And the other half are bots who have equal team scores to me

It was very useful for me personally as an F2P player, getting those legendary cards are of great help, plus there’s good epic chance either and hex boost for 10 races. Good value for me atleast.

Besides bucks can be gained by completing objectives via upgrades, and are mostly useful for crates which i dont know how many do. Only place i used bucks is unlock a car part from store. Youre getting similar thing for much cheaper by spending on pit rewards.

Respectfully, sounds like a bit of a skill issue. Definitely understand the difficulty facing teams with higher TS than you, but if you’re constantly losing to teams with the same or similar TS to you that screams you’re not racing as efficiently as possible.

Explore alternative tire strategies, car/driver setup changes that better suit the tracks your racing in your series. You’ll find sometime the highest possible team score isn’t the best way to maximise wins

The bots are very easy to win, but I feel like every real player who I face has significantly higher TS compared to me. I'd just like for the skill-based matchmaking to work properly, I can't remember the last time I faced someone real who had lower or similar TS and that's frustrating. Like I am progressing because of the bots but that's just not fun

Yeah I definitely hear you, a good sign that you’re at least progressing through though as boring as it may seem. I guess my only other piece of advice is definitely evaluate your setups and keep the ball rolling. Personally in S8 I find the matchups far more balanced than earlier on. With more series come wider setup choices which can really help bridge the gap

Perhaps it’s a bit of a mess in the earlier series as there’s still a tonne of “p2w” starters climbing quickly

Likely that the weather changed and the car that was going slow was on the opposite tyres. AI isn’t very intuitive and even under a SC a car will move slow if on the wrong tyres, nothing to do with tyre wear or mechanical issues you’ve mentioned

You are fighting the opponent, not the ai. You aren’t getting extra points for bigger gap either - and if it was a two lap behind the safety car - you could have done the same as well to keep the position and still be ahead.

By the explanation - you are just annoyed you got stuck after a slower car while opponent pitted and was fine

P16 car was controlling the remaining cars. Also my D1 who was at p12 was 41 seconds behind the SC, after 2 laps gap remained same... once the SC was over, my opponent had enough time to pit and win way ahead

It depends, if you do have 2 drivers that finish 1-2, go for them. If you don't have 2 good drivers, worth a shot. I used him, didn't finish top 3, but but didn't disappoint either. Except in Mexico... in Mexico both my drivers were half asleep :))

You had bad luck there -

1. China - PU track and you were behind there. You have no way to 1 stop there ? Even with a small tyre boost ? Try to time the OT mode so it lasts you through second to last and last corners there, or push before going on the long straight. Pu tracks should be very easy ones - if you are having a hard time - you are wasting your Pu on the wrong spots

2. Monza - I don’t like 42 Strat -
   Can you pace yourself so you do 33 on both ? Or 24? You see on your sceeenshot that many ai are going in pit lap 4, with a lot of traffic there. You can lose lots of time that way. You have two (even 3) great spots for Ot also - on the main straight, , first straight before the chicane so you carry speed through it also or after the chicane so you carry speed on the last corner + some of the main straight. Don’t look at the times as much - keep calm and do what you can

You have to avoid the rush hour in the pits - they’re still as bad as they have always been and we still don’t have one of the best features of another Hutch game - NASCAR Manager - in clash - ghosting in the pit lane. It would be amazing if we have it here too

I’ve noticed a dirty tactic hutch have done to us all, when in super champs division for clubs you get higher percentage of getting bucks

Now with gold crates if you don’t get bucks you’re most likely getting an epic card, but because bucks are 12% more likely to get you get bucks a lot more than an epic card

So the only way to get epics more frequently is a small chance of getting them out of gold crates, platinum which are harder to get and legendary’s which I’ve had about 4 out of 800 races….

If you was in rookie league you have a way better chance of getting an epic rather than bucks in gold crates

There’s 12 months of the season and so you’ve time to be patient and build your setups 👍🏼

Also check out the content creators for videos on how to improve race strategies. There are a couple of guys who will always post videos for best setups for the track rotations in s10-12 every two weeks.

You can be under the series TS and win if your setup is good, which in this example, wasn’t necessarily.

I’d say it’s more to help newer players understand the range for which they should be before entering the series and also when it’s time to move up to the next one.

It is also useful for them as it sets expectations of the difficulty of both the AI and rivals in the series.

We see a few times a week someone new here complaining about facing the hutch bot that has +300 TS more than them because they are using way underpowered setups for the series or GP.

I need some advice please: am playing series 8, nearly through to 9, have entered GP challenger level and have top rated level 6 drivers.. and can get 1-5 positions with them in all set ups, but the sponsor task is Bortelleto common which I have at level 8 and is 10-15 down on any of my drivers skills, looking at qualification people are scoring 400+ and obviously using him… is it worth the risk??

If you are consistently losing such games, I really suggest watching some guides by @tardy lance or @burnt rover . They have per track and per series guides with what to use, where to use OT / PU etc. It's not ragebaiting you and if you take a step back - you might even see that it's possible the issue is on your side

Not my quote actually. You said you aren't a fresh guy. But you would know that :

a) TS doesn't matter as much as people make it be. You can be using the wrong track stats while having a higher TS
b) 19 cornering is not a massive advantage. In practice in your two screenshots you are ~10 track stats ahead
c) Wrong overtake spot - on Zandvoort is crucial. There are probably 3 spots where you might use it. in 2 of them you will get 1-2 spots. In another one - that's 3-5 overtakes.
d) bad PU strategy - it can hurt you in the end laps

It's not as simple as "I have 5 cornering more, i will automatically win". When it's this close - all the other stuff matters
