As players progress through the game, the amount of activity will decrease because they won’t be able to keep adding crates due to their high cost. In every game when you use in-game premium currency to accelerate things, the only variable is time. Accelerating 3 hours costs the same regardless of the potential or the level of the rewards you're getting. I hope you guys realize the mistake you've made.

Pit pass is something that is still on the low side of paid stuff ingame. You get a fair few crates and crate queue which also helps considerably. If you can fill the 200-odd races in a month to unlock all milestones - it’s worth it.

Squeezing the player base’s funds isn’t a smart move unless you plan on offering significant increase in drop rates and volume of cards per crate.

I'm gonna see what pit pass has to offer first, in terms of bucks (a bigger bank would be nice) and other things before I decide if I want to play out this season. I was already intending to take it easy since most of the reason I struggled in GPs was leveling up too early.
But honestly, saying more game modes are coming is worthless because they're not here yet. (also, we never actually got F1 moments when it was touted to be out at some point last season). Also, communicating this change ahead of time wouldn't have gotten such a big backlash, this felt like a rug pull when we were pushing to get longer 50% crate reductions.

Now that I look back, introducing new S12 epics in December last year was probably a sign they realised too many people had collected everything too quickly and they wanted to change that lol

Since the launch of the 2026 Season of F1 Clash, we've been hearing your feedback. Especially surrounding the change to the Bucks cost for opening Crates.

Firstly, we want to address that we failed on our part to communicate these changes effectively. That is a big miss on our part and we can only strive to do better moving forwards.

Secondly, we've seen some speculation on how these prices might scale with the increase in Series and want to make sure that Players have the right information. The attached table included has the details on what the full cost of unlocking each Crate type is, per Series at their full time unlock cost. As many Players will have the 50% Crate Time Reduction bonus, these costs will appear halved from their normal rate while this bonus is active. This cost is capped from Series 4 onwards.

We're aware that this change may alter how some Players are used to approaching racing in Duels. There are a number of additional game modes, activities and events upcoming in 2026 that will provide Players with more avenues to unlock rewards and more ways to race.

So do yall think the crate cost went up to try and force players to watch ads. There is alot of revenue in ads thats why ftp force them. I mean its not gonna change my stance on ads personally unless the reward is astronomical im not wasting more that 10sec on an ad. That's not even the point. The point is that there is no option to delete or discard these green crates so you get stuck with them. It essentially makes duels less meaningful for casual players. I've already seen a lot of folks in my club quit the game this season that have played since this game was introduced back in 2019.
Also curious what these "additional game modes" are outside of the GP.

You earn them at the beginning of a new season based on achievements in the past season. So, you can't earn any directly right now.

Dumping crates is subjective to player activity.
IMO. The changes feel like more of a way to increase (or at minimum maintain) revenue without needing to improve server output.

This increase is clearly money-driven. By slowly raising costs and stretching timers they’re intentionally slowing progression. That isn’t accidental, it’s a design. Slowing players down will frustrate players into spending. It’s a textbook “pay-to-skip model”, and it feeds directly into more players paying more money.

They are banking on players not being patient and wanting to progress faster.
