So had this issue with ios. Went to 30fps, changed it back to 60fps after the new ios update. Game was working fine until this came back, is it me or it’s happening to all. and that’s by far the best way since you almost never have to use them

I realise that you have to stay in Champs to have a chance at finishing higher in Champion tier events (the special editions drop in Final Round race crates, so 8 'free' shots at getting those that you need for future events)

Oh it does. Qualifying groups after you fail a round are based on GP groupings. For example, you sign up in Q1, those are random. If you fail to make the cut there, and move to Q2, your Q2 and Q3 (if needed) groupings are not random.

If nothing changes from last year, I'm locked at Level 19 basically (90 to 94%). All common/rare pretty much unlocked, most epics at L6 or higher. The only way to go higher is win contender (to raise my highest GP performance to 75%, or finish top 3 in Champion (>50% score))

That's not what I said. I said that your overall GP grouping doesn't change if you fail to qualify for the FR in a particular group. Q rounds are not indicative (as they are 2/3 fixed and 1/3 fillers. OR is the real indication, BUT that doesn't change your group either. Only FR does

So my personal experience was that my previous contender Qualifying rounds (after a failed round), my cutoff was approaching 190 points, and the cutoffs for opening rounds were at levels where if you didn't do the sponsor task you are guaranteed not to make it (cut off is above 376)

But I am in S12, I’m fairly certain anyone who has made it to S12 knows to set their car to maximize track stats. I suppose I am just unlucky when it comes to matchmaking. I rarely have an opponent whose setup ignores TS all together. My main issue is constantly being matched with someone with higher level drivers and components. That’s why I am curious how the matchmaking system works. If it’s not based on team score what is it based off of? If I lose because someone had a better strategy than me, good for them. But it’s frustrating when I’m trying to use my coin/trophy/flag boosts and I’m just stuck in a cycle of losing because every single stat they have is greater than mine. At that point there is no challenge lol

He's pointing out that people still have terrible setups way too often. That's the only thing helping out when you get a 100+ or 150+ match. For instance, I got a live PvP today in GP Zandvoort with 2 power components, 3 speed, and only 1 cornering. Go figure. Btw, your opponent made an odd mistake to use Chaos Chore instead of Mach 3. His Vortex may be stronger than Flex, as it is for me as well.

I've been playing for 12 weeks, I have a 75% win rate, and 10k flags. I understand how stats play a part and how TS doesn't matter when it involves the wrong parts, but the game will matchmake at times to give you a race you can't win no matter how good you do.
