i'd also like questions/answers for this cause even if you do exactly what the bot does (charge up battery lap 1, dump all on lap 2, let the battery recharge until the final lap), you still get ate up by a good half a tracks length

also matchmaking despite going off of what the track starts are, that being race start and prioritising car for power unit and cornering, it just feels like you're planned to lose unless you dump a little extra on boosts or pay

im 1261 rn in s11 with everything prioritised on what the track stats are and im facing people always 100ts + which shouldn't even make sense if im at the back of the grid and they're at the front

and yes before you mention 'oh but you have the track stats, shouldn't be hard to catch up to them' yes i know but you're forgetting the majority of people that i face somehow have a gladiator boost on stock every single time, i don't have it, so how am i supposed to compete?

this doesn't seem to be f2p friendly at all, it's either have the boost by sweating it out a lot (to which a few with a working schedule constantly rotating with university, work, hobbies this is impossible to do) or pay heavy amounts for the gp event offers just to stockpile on boosts

Yeah, over the long period , you can get same rares and commons from it, which others didnt. But its every day 2x free crate, 1 coin crate and one boost crate (2-3 free boosts with few common cards) do you really believe that makes big difference? I am series 11, really cool levels and i get that all rewards without boosts on like 3 or 4 runs. So if you are lower, you probably need to use some boosts, is it really something making big difference?

Depends on the situation. Let's say with 120 quali score is already making you enough to get 1 2, then you can just focus on the race pace (full track stats). But if you need more quali score to get 1 2 for both drivers, then you need to focus on that, since track position is the most important in most circuits

There are probably 2-3 guys that actually know what they are doing and can take advantage of this - quite far from “most people in here” . For the vast majority of players - it doesn’t work, leads to frustration and you learn bad habits at the same time. I would focus on actually using proper mechanics in the first place. It will help you in the long run

In S12 many people playing with TS 1100-1200 now = zero hutch bot. The screenshots above were made 3 months ago when I was starting S12. I used Albon level 4 plus hadjar level 1.

Only contender and champ have a “legends arise” crate which will contain a driver. The other ones - legendary driver crates are at 25% chance and it’s normal you didn’t get a legendary driver out of them

Can I ask why not? Just wondering if it’s because of race points for legendary drivers. Lots of people dropping down or missing the event this week due to not being able to compete. I’m in top champs group and don’t have Stewart. Very tough going and just made it through. Seen some very good players miss out this week whereas some average players are making the cut. Just feels a little bit naughty that tha game isn’t more inclusive for the people that don’t yet have the legendary drivers required for the race points given that they a very difficult to come by unless you are prepared to spend a lot of cash

An average player with big pockets would be able to purchase enough packs to lvl Stewart to 3 or 4 which easily makes him better than any of the epic drivers especially with his 20% boost. Then the added 6 points per race as rewards for using him means an average player would be able to accumulate an extra 48 points of the opening round. A very good player that won’t spend is already at a huge disadvantage. A good player now would be capable of hitting say 350 for example and an average what, maybe 320? Add the extra 48 on to that 320 and puts them at 368. 18 points more than the very good player. Please explain your logic? It’s not a skill issue. It’s the face that not everyone can afford to pay week in week out

You get 5-7 legends cards in one of those paid GP crates this week, and 60% bonus isn't applied to them. You'd have to spend hundreds to get Stewart to that level. An "average" player does not invest that much money generally.

Then there's the logic that average skilled players are average because they don't have skill, even if they have a maxed account.

You become a very good player because you have the skill to win even with a lesser levelled setup.

For me, very good players score in the 40s in champs, Average players score in the 30s in champs.

If an average player scores 39 using Stuart, they would get 45 with the added RP. But a very good player could score 46 without Stuart and would still outscore. That right there is the difference between an average and very good player to me.

Average skilled players done score high 40s on champs even with a level 3/4 Stewart. You have to have skill not just the assets

Course they are. Having lots of money doesn’t automatically make them good players. There are plenty of average players in the top group who have been running maxed accounts from very early in the season. Then they throw a ball of money at the game when a legendary is boosted and that’s how they look competitive. The game is built around big spenders. Lots of bad players with deep pockets

Skill in this game is really strategy, as we don't really control the drivers. So "bad" or "average" players will still not necessarily perform well even with a max setup if they don't have good strategies, don't manage pu and DRS deployment, tyre management and strategy, boost selection, car setup, driver selection etc.
If an average or bad maxed player sends out an OT driver with a cornering setup on a DF and speed track, there's no maxed account that would perform well enough against a "very good" player with a lesser levelled setup, with a better strategy and setup for the track stats.

So to me, this all smells like people who believe themselves to have elite status either because of their club or their previous results, throwing shade on others who are in smaller clubs, or not as well known in game or on discord, all just for outperforming them or not getting through when others do

So if we use the law of averages then the best of what I’m saying is average is still 24 points behind. Race 1 - 44 vs 29 - "very good" player wins here, by a fair margin, It could be for many reasons, including bad race start putting you way behind on Monaco . That's already 15 point advantage for the "very good" player. 1:0 overall
Race 2 - 44 vs 42 - close call, "very good" player extends his lead. 2:0 overall
Race 3 - 41 vs 45 - "average" player beats the "very good" one by 4 points, I wouldn't call that "close", as at least 1 probably 2 of the drivers were on the podium, while "very good" guy has at most 1 if any. 2:1 overall
Race 4 - 46 vs 43 - "very good" player goes ahead - 3:1
Race 5 - 38 vs 41 - close call, but "average" player wins - 3:2
Race 6 - 43 vs 45 - another close call which "average" player wins - 3:3
Race 7 - 43 vs 41 - another close call, going in "very good" player's way - 4:3
Race 8 - 45 vs 34 - good race by "Very good" player for a 5:3

Out of the 24 points you mentioned - 26 are on Monaco.

You have 2 bad races by "average" player, and the rest is equal (slightly in "average" player's direction if we look at points). You cannot label him / her as "average" when they are basically equal to the other guy and it can easily swing both ways due to luck. This is simply wrong. You don't have "average" players scoring 41-45 on a regular basis on hard tracks in champion.

I never referred to the club - was only curious as hiding a livery when showing the other is just strange. There are few reasons for that and some of them are simply that that particular “very good” player has a livery from the CGS from last year and scored quite good.

My entire point is that when you have two people who score very similar (if we discount the bonus points too) - you can’t label one of them as “average” and another one as “very good”

Think that’s looking at the symptom not the cause. If boosts weren’t OP, a bit of variability is just a bit of luck and I’d be fine with it from week to week. It’s only because the stupid persistence of boosts being so strong that we want virtually equal conditions because losing 1pt can ruin your whole GP. Even now there’s so many RNG outcomes that it’s never a level playing field anyway. Disabling SC etc. whacks a mole or two but doesn’t solve it fully.
