Sample this duel in Monaco, I had the better car stat for the track (cornering), my drivers were equal or better on the skill required for track (defending).. Mate, it's just the nature of the game. I go on a bit of a win streak, then all of a sudden..... Im racing players with similar stats, similar drivers, similar cars. Can do 4 races, at the same circuit in a row. The 1st race, do fine, jyst as expected, then, the next 3 races, nothings changed, drivers, cars etc, yet my cars seem like they're driving in mud. The difference is night and day. I get absolutely bounced by players with lower stats, drivers and cars!!!

Not sure if it's because of the tracks changing stats, but I've noticed this season that using conserve on straights makes you more vulnerable to overtakes relative to last season.

First noticed it in the long winding back straight in Spa. Last season you still can't really be overtaken there when conserving while a rival was on fast mode right behind you.

Watch the episode "Is the Driver really more important than the Car? | F1 Clash Myth Busting" - overtaking test (9:44). He took two drivers: Law and Tsu. In the race, Law drove on the p1 Tsu on p2. The content creator waited for the TSU to overtake Law.

Meanwhile, in the rules of the game it is written: For example, if a driver with low Defence statistics takes the 5th position, and a driver with a high overtaking statistics takes the 6th position, the driver in the back will not try to overtake, even if he has a higher speed. Instead, switching the driver's engine mode from the back to fast and maintaining the driver's engine mode at the 5th position in neutral mode will allow you to get ahead immediately without losing precious seconds in the fight for position. At the end of the overtaking test, he considered the race crazy because TSU did not overtake Law. He didn't mention (or I don't know English well) that the lack of overtaking in this case results from the rules of the game.

This season, the cash grab is shameless. GP groupings are near impossible to compete in, and rewards are terrible. MM is a joke. Why force people to move up series, when it's impossible to compete. Constantly MM with players between 90-150 TS advantage. You can't win a race, so you can't upgrade! It's impossible to compete in Sprints. So there's another avenue of upgrades cut off. The racing is so inconsistent. I can race the same circuit 2-3 times, and the difference in behaviour is night and day. That's my last 3 races. Been like that all day. Losing 18m a race, so, even if I did manage to get an S12 part/driver, I'd probably have no coin left to pay for the upgrade. No wonder so many players have stopped playing, or quit altogether this season

In S12 there are different good working setups where you can beat these differences on total score. Usually the Power stat is higher for the lower team. That is at least what I’m running into

Essentially yes. We rely on a mountain of data, renders and details from both FOM and the race teams and this usually doesn't come until very close to the real season start. So we need a bit of time to make all the required changes to launch the new season.
