S3 (usually reached first two weeks to month of the season), S6 (after getting P1 in junior gp, you can be ready to move to S6), S9 after winning challenger gp, you can move to S9) Now you will stay in S9 for the majority of the season, preparing your setup for the first few hell races in s10 and winning lots of challenger gps, and ultimately preparing your strategies and race craft for community championship such as champions grand slam etc. Grand Slams: Then, progress gradually through S10, (stay at least a few weeks, S11 (a few more weeks to prepare for S12, and finally S12 during maybe the last 3 months of the season and refining race craft and setup for the upcoming championship

Well… from a technical implementation perspective, when crates open , all you need to look for is level of crate just as you look for type of crate … if it’s at certain level, then selection pool for drop ( epics .. mainly 2 for legendary and platinum and one rarely for gold) check the assets it dropped and if not at certain level, do it again !! Or limit the selection pool !! A simple function on drops or existing function update should do it …. But if you are talking about game economy balance issues, it’s not a technical problem but rather something else isn’t it !!! Also, as someone rightly called out above, it’s already implemented with legendary drivers

It's a subject I bring up with the team quite frequently but it is also a mega, mega project to get right.

There's a very fine balance in allowing Players to feel rewarded, to pace progression to keep the entire season engaging, to cater for various player types, to cater for the various reward systems, to handle the various game modes, allow for the implementation of new features in the roadmap and of course to generate revenue to continue the title altogether just to name a few.

Creating an imbalance in any one of the areas can result in the game becoming too easy (and boring where Players leave), too difficult (and frustrating where Players leave) or not generate enough revenue to continue. Also just to name a few 😆

You are concerned about drop rates and players finishing the season soon ..and hence hesitant to modify the economy, you can always go the route of hard stopping .. I mean set intermittent season milestones and pause progress .. say, for first 3 months , even if you acquire s12 epics , you cannot upgrade beyond level 3 .. you can accumulate cards but cannot upgrade .. and then between months 3-6 , say limit to l5 … don’t use the exact numbers but as a concept .. this way , players will be putting efforts and get more cards and be racing constantly but make the pvp matches more interesting… as it limits the higher level players to specific TSs or levels for a period .. and make races more of a strategy battle at equal footing ..

The struggle and grind will be there but also , I think we would see MM griping come down

Quite radical. Progress/Upgrade hard stops generally don't work very well in most games without a very strong structure and communication behind it. In something like mobile games I'd foresee it resulting in a lot of player churn. So far the ethos has been to let players progress as fast or as slow as they want to all season. Would be a significant shift

It's not impossible but would require a number of different elements to support it without boring Players waiting for that "unlock"

you can still match skip on ios though and not lose coins and skip the 15 minutes

it worked for me idk if it was a fluke but as soon as it matches, turn on airplane mode, swipe up, swipe up on f1 clash, turn airplane mode off, connect to wifi, load f1 clash. You might get a 15 minute timer but the way to get around that is to keep hitting okay and spamming the race to start matchmaking again

@opal carbon Are there plans to rebalance the strength of car and driver track stats? Right now the driver track stat (seems) to be far superior over the car one, which makes boost selection quite monotenous (just pick the +25 driver track stat and ignore the car). It also leads to the car having quite little influence, especially when the track stat is power unit. I think the balance last year was far better, because the car actually made some impact

I think a middle ground between the start of last season and now would be a better situation, however I understand its difficult to balance those track stats. But I hope there's at least some discussion about it within the dev team

I started playing last year, so I dont know how the game was many years ago. But from my time playing boosts have always been king. Thats why I make my TS as low as possible so I get as many bot opponents as possible, since they dont boost. But its not an enjoyable way of playing the game

I remember last year, series 7 was also power unit. But the power unit track stat actually did something, so if I played smart I was able to beat my rival very easily if they did not focus on track stats. Thats how the game should be imo, rewarding for players who play the game properly
