in my experience it is, you wanna have a good speed and cornering as well, i think it also depends on the tracks ur on, like for rn in s10 imola is a PU track but having good cornering is important or else you’ll lose a lot of positions and will only have one good place to recover them (main straight), and same with shanghai too. what series are you in?

Can someone explain why DRS availability and use is horrendously inconsistent in this game?

1. when facing bots, their DRS is always ready before yours and both bot drivers have it.
2. 5 sec difference between my own drivers on first availability
3. Rival seems to be able to use it twice per lap (circuit dependant), or its always available at the same point while mine is staggered. e.g. Sakir I use it after turn 1. Next time, its not available until after turn 2 "sometimes"

The crates only change if

A) they aren’t unlocked by time
B) they aren’t unlocked by trophies

If they are - they remain that way and only the future ones change. Any unlocked will remain in that series you were in when they were unlocked

general rule of thumb... applies to all series ... there will be a driver stat and track stat for each track. any series has either driver or track stat . Build your config based on that.. for e.g. if the series is an overtaking stat , make sure your best drivers with highest overtaking as selected. if its track stat , say, cornering , go for the cornering setup and most likely you will need a balanced driver for track stat related series ... use TR spreadsheet pinned here, fill in your values and you should get ideal setup for the series.. most importantly, experiment and learn what works too and fine tune your setups

also, every race you win or lose , look at debrief and see why you won / lost , look at opponent setup and drivers

If you can’t race - yes, it’s a complete waste of coins and time . Being able to race > waiting for ads or racing in lower series to get the money to race in your highest series

if you are not competitive in any series and not getting a 70 % win ratio and not saved upcost of atleast 10 races as surplus, dont waste coins on upgrade... otherwise , you will run out of coins and have to struggle at lower levels.. notice with each level entry fee roughly raises from 2-3 times leaning towards 3.. meaning , even if you race in lower series, you have to have atleast 3 wins to be able to do 1 race at higher level
