The latter

In series where the car stat is central you can look at what the 4 driver based track stats are. If they are all different, you can use 2 complementary drivers

So driver 1 will be strong on 2 tracks and driver 2 on the other 2. That way you have at least 1 strong driver for all 4 tracks

You can also choose 2 drivers who excel at the same things, to make you extra fast on those tracks, but you will struggle more on the other tracks. If that makes sense

there is no such thing as good car / driver setup .. its all subjective to 1. Track stats 2. Driver Stats 3. Your levels of drivers and components.. hatever is best with what you have

people here dont know what level of drivers / components you have and wont be able to advise... if you put in screenshots of what you have in terms of drivers/ components , they can provide best setups based on what you have

@opal carbon I couldn't take a screenshot, as that would no doubt have made it worse, but the track I just played (I'm hoping you can see that) always seems to get jumpy in two places.

Not just today, has been the last few days at least.
I don't have this with any other tracks, so I'm guessing that rules out a connection issue my side like what you showed me before.

It seems to happen to a worse degree at the bottom of the track, and on going up the right side before the last corner. (I hope that helps 😂)

I have series 4 doohan epic at level 1 and i got max at series 5 common but out of curiosity I invested 220k level him up to lvl2. My primary driver is series 3 Rare Bearman at lvl 4. Verstappen is a common card and I can upgrade him easily compared to epic doohan. As my coins are scarce I am worrying about upgrades. But still level 1 doohan outperforms max in overtaking and Qualifying but besides him in tyre management slightly behind in defending and race start

Its really about getting the right stat distribution rather than having the highest stats possible

Playing in series 8 and facing opponents with higher team scores most of the time. I can't upgrade anymore at the moment. The matchups are determined by the number of flags but team score seems to be more of an influence in the results.

Its a matter of both, but matchmaking is ALWAYS +-10% of your current team score. So by default if you lower your team score, you will get less difficult matches

It's my 4th season and never had matchmaking as frustrating as this season. As soon as I'm matched with someone only 20 points higher, it's pretty much an automatic loss, no matter what tire strategy I use.

Team Score isn't the determining factor on whether there is a win or loss. There are countless examples in this Discord itself showing people winning races against opponents with much higher Team Scores, even 100+ difference.

Appropriately managing the Track Stats is the best strategy for success.

The game is giving you options to gain an edge over people who have a higher TS than you. If you still cant win, take the loss and move on. Having near 100% winrate is an unrealistic expectation

I tried two races with xhale instead of power lift. First opponent was 12 team points above me and I won that race, saw some light at the end of the tunnel.
