Don't sweat about high-flag players, they're actually worse than you. GPs have asset limits, and they just have more experience. After series 7, crates give about the same assets, and their assets get diluted from their highest series down to series 1, so a series 7 player will have higher-level assets from series 1-6 than someone in series 12.

I would not recommend going for the good / bad driver if you are just stating out. While you might see some limited success - you won’t learn anything about the game this way. And when the good / bad driver setup starts not working - and it will get to that point sooner rather than later - you will be stuck with having to adjust and get out of habits that you picked along the way of using it. Take the time to learn proper mechanics - you have 11 months left in the season, you don’t have to rush. That will pay off long term if you enjoy the game
