Driver stats (especially track stat) are far more important than the car. Drivers get a 30% buff while the car only gets a 10% buff.

Not only that, but the drivers stats have much more of an impact when it comes to overtaking and defending etc. A driver with 9 overtaking will struggle to pass anyone even on a good setup.

Yes. When Track Stats were added last season it started off at 20% for both and the Car was OP. Then they changed it to 30-10 and it’s been a Driver/Qualifying meta ever since.

Would really like to see them tweak it to 25-15 to get a better balance.

Comtender GP's are usually a bit harder than series 9. Last season Hutch changed how AI behave and their stats are different from S9. Same goes for All GP tiers. Champs is above S12, etc

What do the Track Stats tell you to use?

Tyre Mgmt drivers + x2 PU, x1 Speed and x1 Cornering.
Option 1) you build your best PU setup followed by Speed or Cornering and sacrifce the other,
Option 2) Build your best balanced Speed & Corneriing setup and ignore PU as you can over come that with race craft.

Just when I think I've figured out matchmaking, I wake up and everything is different

S6 has a zone 650-900 so I maximized my setup and then positioned drives to be just below 900 TS

I won probably 98-99%

Everyone I matched with was at or below me, so it was easy

I didn't hold flags when they were introduced as GP grouping method. Refused to do it 2nd year also. Did it last year (when it was still possible to do with the slow approach + sprints) and this year I just play however I want with little to no expectations
