I have no sun either last time I looked.

I missed this too. Not terribly important, but it would be nice if they could add it.

I think it's there, just outside the render area or covered by fog, we'll check

@onyx kernel I’ve tried several graphic settings, but the sun itself (the sun sphere) doesn’t appear. I’ve also noticed that in the new version there’s a lot of fog, and I can’t remove it to see more of the horizon — it hides too many nearby mountains and part of the Alpha base. I’ve tried lowering and increasing graphics settings, different configurations, but nothing works. Thanks.

will check, the sun may be outside the render area in all graphics settings

the "more fog" issue looks strange, I don't think we changed anything related to it

In version 0.1998, the mountains in the background were clearly visible, but in version 0.240, the horizon can no longer be seen — the fog covers everything quite close, and I’ve never seen the sun in the sky, not even the sun sphere itself.

My PC is very powerful, so it should display the sun properly and offer an option to reduce or remove the fog.

I hope this gets fixed so we can enjoy a clearer and more realistic Martian landscape. And yes, I’ve tested several hours of the Martian day, but the fog is always there.

Thank you very much!

@eager prawn This image is from a new game, and as you can see, there’s less fog, but still no sun sphere visible. The settings are exactly the same.

Thank you, and congratulations on the great work! 🙂 Best regards.

# eager prawn perhaps there's different weather on one of the screenshots? after sandstorm can...

I’ve spent the last few days and weeks playing several sessions, and the weather has nothing to do with it — the fog never disappears and blocks the view. In the image of the Alpha Base, you can see that I can’t see the mountains on the horizon, and even the nearby ones are covered.

The sun — the sphere — has never appeared in the game. I haven’t experienced any weather events yet.

Oh, and in the first two images where Alpha Base appears, that save has weather events disabled, so there shouldn’t be any fog when they’re turned off. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1425579715074199572/1436634326237184051/222.jpg?ex=6910517a&is=690efffa&hm=ee612d366fd0c1db6a87f56dcde4ddaa59ec68cda14e619217b97224c76dfa47&

😊 As you can see, it’s quite a good setup — I can run any game on ultra or high settings. mars Just keep in mind we’re talking about the game itself, not the PC’s quality. Thanks a lot. 👋 🖥️

🖥️ Sorry for the capital letters. I had it written somewhere else and just copied and pasted it. 😅 👋

@eager prawn There’s still no sun in the sky. Graphics are set to Fantastic and High. There’s no sun in version 1.0.4. The sun should be visible to make it more realistic. Thanks.

it's behind dust / fog

Like on Earth and Mars, the sun rises and sets — you can see that realism. It should be the same in the game too; with dust, the sun should be partially visible, but right now there’s no sun at all. Anyway, it’s probably a bug they won’t fix, just like the platforms that don’t attach to buildings. Thanks, and I won’t bother about it anymore. I still like the game and enjoy playing it; I always end up accepting what I don’t like. Have a great week! 👋 mars
