I have two airlocks from the hanger to my base. If I'm in the hanger and close the hanger door it says I have external O2 and the hanger lights turn on. However the airlock to the base doesn't auto open.
If the hanger door is open then the airlock auto opens.

I've noticed it takes a moment for the pressure in the hanger to come up before the door will auto open. I'm not sure if that is what your seeing or not but I thought something was wrong till I noticed the pressure increasing on the door panel.

I'll look again but I waited quite a while and I'm supplying a LOT of O2 to the building

It's not a matter of o2, it's a matter of pressure. But I agree that it's inconsistent that a double iris opens instantly at 7 and 1013 psi and not at values between them. But I love this little aspect of reality devs try to give the game with such little things.
If you look at the display at the iris you can see the pressure value adapting.

Yeah, I do that because it seems to take a long time before auto is working again. Going the other way you it auto opens into the hanger even if the hanger door is open killing you instantly.

yeah, just seems to be a long time and until someone mentions it it is hard to figure out why, not obvious.
