Loading Screen of Death

Bug name: Loading failure & Can't change graphics settings.

Description: The game will not load. Cannot load saved game, or start a new game in any mode. It will show the loading screen, have one tiny dot of orange bar, but never move. Ever since I got a new monitor, the game has been having this same issue; it is a super-ultrawide. The game also will not allow me to change any graphics settings, which prevents me from switching the resolution. The setting options won't even show up when I click on them. It's like they are hidden behind another graphic on the screen (they try to pop up but get blotched out). All of these issues began immediately after installing the monitor and launching this game.

Reproduction steps: Try to load game, or start new game. Try to change graphics settings.

PC specification: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 64.0 GB RAM, 64-bit OS Win 11, RTX 3080, Display 5120x1440 @ 240 Hz.

P.S. I have tried verifying game files and a fresh install.

It's a known bug, and on August 28th, there's a major update that primarily addresses performance issues and also improves game loading and saved game loading. Moreover, they'll be adding new surprises. Regards. 😎 👋

try this```goto %AppData%\LocalLow\PyramidGames\OccupyMars
find and open the file settings.ini
in the file look for:

"key": "Fullscreen",
"value": "1"

Change "value": "1" to "value": "0"```

Anything you can change in your settings screen will be in that file. IF you can't even get to the settings screen you can change settings manually by editing that file. If its just an incorrect display setting he can fix that by changing things.

This was not fixed. Like at all.

Correction: the settings thing was fixed. The loading screen, like not even close.

have you tried lowering it a tad to 2560x1440?

try that and go into windowed mode so it doesn't get all stretched out like crazy.

Maybe switching to URP will help here, but we are still testing it.
