#Bug in water tank and adapter.
17 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I have tried several different ways and orders, as well as setting both tanks at 50%, but it doesn't do anything. It doesn't turn blue and water doesn't enter the tank.
Well, I confirm that the adapters do not accept 2 of water. I've tried removing and rebuilding them, but it still doesn't accept 2 of water. Regards. ๐ @muted crater @young surge ๐โโ๏ธ
It only accepts 3 wells but doesn't allow adding more water tanks, only one tank is allowed. ๐ ๐โโ๏ธ
Not a bug.
If i understand you correctly, you want both tanks to store water, right? the problem with that is that right now, you got one tank set to oxygen. That's why it's green. Blue = water, green = oxygen, red = methane.
I'm guessing what happened here is that you built the pumps, and just started connecting them without configuring their connectors.
When you build a new pump, it will automatically have one input and one output set to water, oxygen, and methane respectively. You can change that either by using the pump's display (click on the input/output), or by connecting hoses that already have the right color.
What you need to do to fix your issue, is to remove the green hoses, set one of your pumps to have water at the connector you're going to use, and reconnect the tank from there.
Though i would recommend to just run a hose from the output of one tank to the input of the other tank, that way they will actually function like one bigger tank, and you won't even need the second pump, unless you want to use that to fill your water bottle. Having them in series is certainly easier to do, also i'm not sure that 2 tanks in parallel would work as well, because of how the game handles throughput in pumps. The same goes for batteries.
Hi, well, I did a test where I connected only 2 wells to the adapter and to the large tanks, but it didn't work. However, right now I have left the 2 wells connected to the adapter and only connected to one large tank, and it works very well. Greetings.๐โโ๏ธ ๐
You can hook up 2 tanks to that pump if you'd like, i even tested this with your save file. You just have to make sure the pump's outputs are set to water (blue) first. like this:
Yes, I will try, thank you, yesterday I did it in many ways, I will try again. Greetings. ๐โโ๏ธ ๐
well if you still can't figure it out let me know, i can make a video showing you how to do this
Could you make a video and show me how you do it? That way, I won't get confused trying to figure it out. Whenever you can, could you send me a video? Thank you very much." ๐ ๐ ๐โโ๏ธ ๐
sure no problem, just give me a few minutes
@tropic socket here you go
Okay, you're welcome. If the duration of your recording is only 7 seconds and you didn't see the two tanks connected, you can use OBS to record for up to 1 minute and 7 seconds, which should allow you to upload the recording to Discord without any issues.
Well i tried recording the whole process from building the pump to connecting the tanks, but discord said i cannot upload files that big. So i figured since this is the part you seemed to be missing, this would be enough.
if you still have problem i can try making another video, i'm sure there are some more settings i can change to help with file size
