Yeah this is probably an issue with IntelliJ and your Wayland compositor
Does PopOS allow switching to X11 temporarily to check this?
IntelliJ natively supports Wayland in the 2026 versions but you can turn off that support using -Dawt.toolkit.name=XToolkit and it will use XWayland
(Please tell me whether or not that works because other people may have the same issue)
