chrome blade

This means you don't have sufficient memory

#

You configured it to use a heap size of 2GB but there isn't sufficient free memory

icy axle
#

im only using this much ram

#

look

chrome blade
#

What's the output of java -version?

#

Did you install a 32bit Java version?

chrome blade
#

What's shown if you enter java -version in a terminal?

icy axle
#

btw ty for responding so fast

icy axle
chrome blade
#

yes

icy axle
chrome blade
#

What's the output of where java?

icy axle
#

btw i reduced the ram allocation from 2G to 1G and then i clicked run.bat again

#

and this happened

chrome blade
#

ok yeah you installed a 32bit Java installation

#

These cannot make use of more than 2GB of memory and it seems Minecraft doesn't like it either

icy axle
#

can u send me a nice java 8 pls :))

icy axle
chrome blade
#

actually if you only want to run Java and not develop Java applications like mods, you can also select JRE instead of JDK

chrome blade
#

Essentially if you have a 64bit computer/Operating system, you probably want to install 64bit applications if possible

icy axle
#

yessir

icy axle
#

heyb ro sry to bother u again

#

but the msi installer kept getting stuck at 100% idk y

#

so i downloaded the zip

#

ive extracted it but where do i put the folder

#

this folder

#

@chrome blade bro?

chrome blade
#

If the installer doesn't work for some reason, you can also extract it whereever you want and set the PATH

icy axle
#

path of what im confused @chrome blade

chrome blade
#

or there's a program for setting environment variables

chrome blade
#

the bin directory

chrome blade
#

yeah

#

and then it will be active in PowerShell

#

until you close PowerShell

icy axle
#

wait what

#

this gud

#

should i press enter

#

iv did and nothing happened

icy axle
#

@chrome blade

chrome blade
# icy axle

you need to type the set PATH command before the java command

icy axle
#

so it should look like this?

#

one sec

#

bro it didnt work

chrome blade
#

and you also need to add that to your batch file

chrome blade
# icy axle

meaning the thing you are double-clicking to run this

icy axle
#

this good 😄

#

?

#

yoooo

#

it worked

#

ty man

icy axle
#

yo but itys now sayingunknown host

icy axle
#

blud

chrome blade
icy axle
#

brobro

#

i got the server to run

chrome blade
#

or you just change java to C:\Users\User\Downloads\jdk8u412-jre\bin\java with all other args - that would have worked as well

chrome blade
icy axle
#

oh ty man

#

but

#

im getying this now

chrome blade
#

I have no idea what playit.gg is supposed to be

#

But if you want to connect to a server running ont he same computer, you can use localhost as the hostname

icy axle
chrome blade
#

well the error message tells you that it doesn't know where to find the host you are entering

icy axle
#

sooo….

#

what to do

chrome blade
#

I don't know why it should work

tranquil rock
#

Use 0 to join and send ur friends ur ip

icy axle
tranquil rock
#

Its ur pc

icy axle
#

oh yeah

#

but i havent port forwarded and ngrok and playit.gg are js being annoying

#

u guys got alternatives to port forwarding

#

?

chrome blade
#

configure it in your router if applicable

icy axle
#

dont ask why im sending in image form

#

@chrome blade pls help bro i beg

#

ive been troublshooting for ages 😢

chrome blade
#

As I said, I don't know that service you are using

icy axle
#

its ngrok not playit

#

u dont know ngrok?

chrome blade
#

Is ngrok running on your device

icy axle
#

yes

chrome blade
chrome blade
#

Is it set to TCP 25565?

icy axle
#

11111

#

because thats what i set it as

#

in server.prop

#

erties

chrome blade
#

Can you show your ngrok window?

#

As well as the thing you enter in Minecraft?

icy axle
#

?

chrome blade
#

Followed by a : and the port number shown in the previous image (the port number you censored)?

#

For testing: Does using localhost:1111 in Minecraft work?

#

Is ngrok set to HTTP or TCP?

icy axle
#

tcp

icy axle
#

brobro

#

i can join the servee

#

with the ip

chrome blade
#

Via ngrok?

icy axle
#

yes it works

#

for me

#

but why is my friend getting the error

#

i dont think it has anything to do with ngrok

chrome blade
#

the IP you entered isn't anything starting with

  • localhost
  • 192
  • 10
  • 168
    right?
icy axle
#

nope

chrome blade
#

And your friend is entering the same?

icy axle
chrome blade
#

What's the error?

icy axle
chrome blade
#

Is that what your friend is getting now?

#

maybe a firewall issue on your side

icy axle
chrome blade
#

oh I thought your friend had the firewall off

icy axle
#

he has

chrome blade
#

it should only matter for the one running the server - and even for them, it shouldn't matter

icy axle
#

hmm

#

mine looks like this

chrome blade
#

I think it shouldn't even be necessary to disable it

#

You aren't seeing a message in the server console when your friend attempts to connect, right?

icy axle
#

oh i think i am

#

lemme check

#

this must be it

chrome blade
#

If that appears when your friend attempts to connect, it means they are able to send something to the server

#

Maybe they are using the wrong Minecraft version

#

Maybe there's an issue with getting the response from the server back to your friend

icy axle
chrome blade
#

idk

icy axle
