run the JAR from cmd with java -jar spigot-1.20.4.jar in the same directory
Like this?
you need to change directory to the folder with the jarfile
in the same directory
How can I change the directory :I
I'm not an expert with pc's
Sorry btw
easiest way is to open cmd in the folder, click the bar with the folder name on top, and then type cmd then press enter
My guess is the issues being environment variables - probably the wrong - sign
Like this?
No, it isn't. Videos I saw have it
add a space after the -jar
but I already see the issue
it's environment variables
What can I do?
You have a program called Edit system environment variables or something like that
or Edit environment variables for this account
Yes
open it
Okay
Is there something called _JAVA_OPTIONS in there?
Does one of the options say anything about environment variables?
you should get to something like that
I think it's this button
Is there something called _JAVA_OPTIONS?
The _JAVA_OPTIONS is because I saw it in a video that probably fix my problem
Yes
or just remove the environment variable
hehe
you need to press ok first
I did it
I also did that
How can I restar cmd
yes
Yes
.
yeah you might need to restart your computer to make it work by double-clicking
or at least close explorer and open it again
Did you restart your computer?
Did you try using cmd to run it with java -jar again?
yes
If restarting doesn't help, maybe try deleting the _JAVA_HOME environment variable
Also if you ran cmd as admin, that could be the issue
Don't have it
If you did, check the program "edit environment variables for this account or whatever it is named
and remove it from there
I don't have that
change the value, not the key
yeah or remove that as wwell
I removed it
and when starting a new cmd window without admin and run java -version, what happens?
How can I put a cmd without admin
When I open in Java TM this appears
Open xd
multiple?
The adress bar?
above the JAR, there's some bar with a folder icon saying nueva carpeta
Ahh yes
what over there
@fleet pelican
yes
enter cmd there
and in the cmd window opening there, enter java -jar spigot-1.20.4.jar
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
