Dude, you're adding it to the label of intersection A

I don't exactly have experience with GroupLayout and I don't know how/if it may have its set of components updated after creation.
But obviously, you have laid out your original labels with your GroupLayout, you must add new labels with your GroupLayout

And if it doesn't support change, then you need to organize your intersaction labels within a JPanel that contains only your intersections labels and displays them horizontally.
