*WARNING WRITTEN AT 5AM WITH NO SLEEP WARNING
This has been in development since November (with many breaks), our plan is to release this on steam at some point for $2.86 . Our plan is to have 7 or 8 zones to explore through with maybe even 100s of NPCs (Maybe, depends on how well the crappy game engine I made can handle it, if not maybe more like 25 max in the hub world). Many weapons and a lot more!
Maize - Launcher:
A basic launcher made with Swing and AWT, works alright if you want the source code (doesn't have a GitHub it's more of if you want the source code you can have it ask here or dm me) you can have it since I found some of the code for the downloader on stack overflow, the main launcher it's self though is all me., and I did have to make it downloads a lib folder. Insecure as all h*ll for right now since it's http only for right now. The right bar thing weirdness is my desktop, not the launcher.
Maize - Key Gen:
It is closed source since I do not want the key pattern to be leaked, pretty basic.
Maize - The Game:
It's closed source, however we may at some point do a doom and release the engine without any of the assets to the public.
GamePad Support: JInput (if you want, ask me, and I'll give you the gamepadhandler class since it's a pain in the a**)
DRPC Discord-RPC
UI and sh*t: Swing, AWT, many many other crap.
Current Progress:
95% of the game code is finished, all we have to do is add puzzles for dungeons and also make a boss ai, and make a credits' scene and making the gamepad less wonky.
80%: Of the game is done, we need to make more zones and add more content (but it doesn't involve adding anything new to the code base).
Future Plans:
Make better music
Make better sprites for the older zones.
Try to use less if statements
Steam Public release and add steamworks4j
Make the game run better on steamdeck.
