How does Try-Count work?

I am trying to obtain the value of a variable outside of a Try-Catch but I am unsure of how to get that value.

do you mean a try-catch

you would declare the variable outside

But what if I assign it a vaule inside of the try-catch? Like a scanner checking whether or not the input is an integer or something else?

you could avoid a try-catch by checking with hasNextInt first, but my original answer doesn't change
