It's hard to follow you, but why do you call nextLIne() twice?
so the user can input the name
You don't think calling it once is enough?
if i comment it out it won't let the user input the name
So the reason isn't "so the user can input the name" but "you had the impression that doing that would fix another problem you had"?
im saying the sc.nextLine() isn't the issue here
of course it is, come on
?????????
\
maybe it's not the only one
its not storing user-inputed values into the names array
Yes. So first don't do nonsencial things
Then, let's focus on why sensical things doesn't seem to work
for the sc.nextLine() to be there
No, two nextLine() does not make sense
what would you do instead?
Not have two, for starters
yeah thats why im on here
someone else surely knows better
I can give the solution, but I also demand you learn from the experience
Doing nonsensical things, and not even talking about how you're doing so and what's your reason, is wrong. You won't make progress when you do that
im asking why my values are not being stored in my array, not for you to berate me on using nextline twice
And I demand you learn how to program, not just demand to be given solutions
not demanding solutions????
Well you're refusing anything else, so...
you aren't offering anything constructive to my question
Because you aren't participating
instead you're going off about some other part of my code
That other part is wrong.
but im not asking about it
what could be the reason why my values are not being stored in the array.
Yes it is because you can't solve your problem without making it right
And if you don't want to speak about a part of your program, then remove it from your program, and don't show it
Don't complain that helpers want to talk about it
ok just overlook it then
Now are you ready to focus and stop complaining?
No, we do it my way
Beside it can't be overlooked because you can't solve your problem without fixing that part
theres other helpers here
Yes and you're admantly wrong
How would you know whether it is the problem?
ok i want a second opinion
By all means
I was going to comment on that quote above, to point out why you didn't apply it correctly.
But you've refused to listen to me, so go ahead waiting for another opinion
well i fixed it and the nextline wasn't the issue.
Of course. It works perfectly with two nextLine()s. We all believe that
Yes, and I mean, it's not like I can prove it doesn't.
