That's a way of looking at it. People think that when a battle is over, the HP gets restored.
In reality a unit that dies in the Ark doesn't return home, so it doesn't get restored.

I mean that makes sense to me... If you stay in the ark the hp stays as it was after the battle, if it returns home it gets restored
