I did es7 of my army individually. And I noticed a much greater difference when I upgraded quilly/Sara spot than I did with nelle/binary/Astrid.

difference comes when you pair with heroes

jett 7 wasnt as good when it was released...very similar overall results as abad 7 but when hiccup was released...it made jett's 7 more valuable

if you watch replays of army combo with astrid then you'll notice that astrid has kind of a water splash type of mechanism, once it completely removes a whole stack of mag pulse , it adds more mag stacks on other unit slots and you'll notice astrid keeps clearing those mag stacks like a chain reaction

This is where the stacks get added after each regular attack from each unit. Es5 makes more es7 increases it further. Quilly/Sara has the potential to put out an enormous amount of stacks Astrid does not

well, suppose both heroes are at lv5, sara is adding 3 stacks per slot ( worst case ) and astrid at lv5 is having 70% magnetic pulse effect
there are 9 slots so total mag stacks in one round become 27 , damage becomes 27x70 = 1890

sara ex7, astrid ex5 - sara adds 4 mag stacks per slot (worst case)
damage becomes 36x70 = 2520...thats a 33.3% increase in damage

now, sara ex5, astrid ex7 - astrid does 120% mag pulse damage
so damage becomes 27x120= 3240....which is 71.4% increase in damage

this isnt the exact calculation for damage but thats how the mechanism is in between mag pulse stacks addition and mag pulse detonating damage

I havent even added astrid's splash mag pulse addition...that'd bring up more damage on astrid lv7

its astrid who makes sara's ex7 more desirable 🤷🏻‍♂️ else most ppl were still using quilly
