Fewer heroes over the year – that's a positive...

BUT

currently, there are psychological hurdles for players... ES5 and ES7. Regular players stop at ES5 because the cost of ES7 is too high. High-stakes players stop at ES7 because further boosts don't offer any real cost/benefit. TW wants to break down this psychological barrier...

ES5 and then granular expansions for enhancements (boosts, skills, skill activations, etc.). Not with the immediate cost of going from ES5 to ES7 or from ES7 to higher. But the overall costs will be significantly higher, and above all, it removes the psychological investment stoppage for players at their usual ES level. Of course, new heroes will also be added regularly to keep the revenue flowing.

Overall, TW expects a substantial increase in revenue from this change. Otherwise, they wouldn't be doing it, as the restructuring also costs money. The pay-to-win mentality is being promoted more. Players who donated 2k to ES7 will likely double or even more in the future to get individual boosts/skills for their heroes. ES5 players will do the same... they'll just donate 400 or more per hero instead of 250.
