The heroes you get from the hero recruit vouchers (blue, red, green) are not worth upgrading with universal hero shards. Binary is not one of these, and she is not years old. She is your best bet. Combine her with Rambo. Once your Rambo is at 5 stars, you can unlock his perk deck. In this you can unlock 4 perks, and you should change them over time to Attack for Army/all units and HP for Army/all units. Doing this on a purple hero is easy, on a golden one, not so much 🥲
