many players rely on HT to perform and while the dmg is always consistent, if you dont buff your units you'll lose regardless how strong your HT is

HT plays once per turn, your units play 8 per round

so being tankier overall, DEF for units and HT, will extend your trades and reports will favor you better because your damage remains somewhat more consistent

you dont drop march as quick as without the DEF chip

In my perspective, i had so many test between all this 3 formations since 3 of mine are in equal strength, so this what i got from this 3 formations :

🦈 — > Shark Formations is so good in ATK but not good in DEF side. I'll suggest you to pick this when you wanted to capture an objective for building in SvS or TC

is it like, against all unit you supress them by 30%

or is it like, if the enemy supresses you, that supprression is reduced by 30%

its the latter right? i only checked when the enemy uses the correct unit type but never on wrong/same unit type

If enemy sends something else you wont get the supression, just the hits and dmg dec

Since im attacking i use eagle for supression

Def scaling and dmg dec

Anything can be used with scorpion but i find wasteful if is not a setup based on unit hit

Normal line ups who rely on hero skill dmg, scorpion is low value because your units hit clap

Compared to a scenario you buff your unit auto attack, scorpion is far more effective in value

But again like most of the game, some things work best for some
