I don’t understand this matchmaking and how RG wouldn’t understand why this would anger everyone.

All the whale servers are grouped with each other. And then the event you have almost zero control over the outcome. In our matching there is a range in points from 664,444 for 1st and 657,377 for last.

And all of us as a result got varying points that keep us all in bronze range. Meanwhile some alliance that nobody has ever head that got a cupcake matchup is already ranked into Silver III.

I don’t want to bring them down; but what a kick in the teeth to all of your most loyal, most active, and highest paying customers.

What you're seeing is the player base experiencing great frustration and at time, anger, with how the Game is being developed. I think we're trying to ask for this thing to be saved...rather than going down this path.

You aren’t understanding the difference and why people are upset in each situation.

People were upset at the mismatching in EL because you can directly affect the outcome of the battle with gameplay. So when there is no challenge it makes the event boring. That was our position as we were just able to steamroll everybody and it made us feel bad. We actually made an agreement we would only use our HT in marches trying to make the event somewhat equitable.

This event is the opposite. We have little to almost no effect on the outcome. So when we are paired up that all of our opponents are top 20 alliances in the world (which according to you has randomly happened which would reflect odds somewhere in the range of 1 out of trillions); then we get beat and beat out other teams based solely on when the game decided to move a player in a direction in one battle and moved a different player in a different direction in another. Our battles are decided by a matter of a couple seconds difference and then you rank us based on that

What else are we supposed to do? All the veins are drained of anything useful quickly and stay that way for most of the event. So the only way for us to top out in shards to buy enough monster foods for the boss is we just start running everyone over and stealing from them.

Which is a raw deal for the smaller teams that now have no point to even try. You are correct.
