Yes, they’d need to continue to adjust it to make it a full SvS replacement. AD was test of if alliance matching works better, and having multiple servers attacking at once

Alliance Duel was a way for them to implement the Beasts into the game, and to offer a way for players to get a lot of purple beasts early.
SvS being every other week didn't offer this opportunity.
This is also the reason imo that we have UD instead of EL.
They can't think of a way in EL to offer Enigma Realm. It's just easier in UD to do that.

The event design is bad. Going after another factions territory or city is just guaranteeing your faction loses to hopefully spite one faction

Holding back 4 cities in round 5 to draw a line towards one factions city means you’ve just cost yourself 50 points to take away 40 points from ONE other faction. It’s nonsense strategy.
