Worth or not depending on each person's perspective, save a lot of catalysts to open on events will get bonus rewards but it take a lot of time to save and you probably behind.

When you are behind, you will lose in other events. My perspective is balancing everything so ill save some for event but use some to advance my troops.

One person will attack (it picks from interceptors at random) but all defenders will participate, so if you are defeated it will move to next defender. It will cycle through the interceptors until the battle stage timer is complete.

Its not 24 hours, you have to be in alliance before they select the registration button, as that locks the selection list.
