Top war releasing too much content actually did more harm than good so if they slow down I see that as a good thing. Outside of TC which was very new I didn’t feel that they released new gameplay. The content was only spending events, collabs and new heroes, all which are basically there to make you spend. UD was new but basically just an overextended in every way tournament.

The gap definitely widened but I put that on TW. I used to need to pile up everything slowly or buy a limited amount each week, and for many items only once a week. I was limited in how fast I could level up. Now I can buy anything, in nearly any amount on any day. They opened the gates because they needed to offset revenue losses from players dropping off. This saved some revenue but caused more players to drop off and widened the gap more. It’s not a whale ego thing though. It’s a decision by TW, and whales will do their best to ensure the people in their server get rewarded well. By removing limitations they just exacerbated the human nature of many whales who have a strong feeling of I will do anything for my family.
