Regular attack amount varies on each battle. Joy of rng. Similar to hero procs vary based on rng. But overall you get better total dmg where regular attack dmg is higher and your hero’s perform!

Mmm could be based on which boss and the relationship in the boss’ description and the affinity this has on unit dmg. Feel free to dm and we can look at reports there.

Against General (air boss) all army hits are classed as critical and you get % dmg inc. So a weaker army unit set of stats will typically give more even if your navy appears stronger in that list 🙂

Similar approach - read the description on droids as to what units / combination of unit types cause more dmg / special effect triggers

I will try a nude attack. No skills , no heroes , no components , no equipment , no base and no decorations. If I still get a difference then this app is broken.

The boost for the world boss changes per day, the feature allows for a unit type to perform better once every three days. It's very fair because it means you have the opportunity to score well in individual damage with your main march instead of army mains dominating the leaderboards everyday (army typically has best single unit damage).
As an AF player at 42M CP I can't keep up with +60M army marches on air general (I usually score not in top 100), but navy general I out hit some of the bigger guys so top 10 is a possibility.

In my testing, Layla with Crimson and Gypsy is better because they have synergy that feeds them. Duke attacks last row, so it's not as powerful as Layla in this combination. Indestructible side is more or less same (or very similar.

On the other hand, Duke is universal, so he protects all units, plus he does attack with all units. Layla doesn't. All in all, if you have Layla, I'd skip Duke, if it's just for the navy.
