This is because from Eva they went crazy on increasing the amount of events and new things. Just look at the data on heroes. 13 released in 2021 compared to averaging 2 a month now.

When TW had a very predictable schedule people knew what to expect. Now you suddenly have 7 new decor you have to go after and it really comes out of nowhere.
