I'm not sure it's even complicated. Is it really too much to expect that when you have a march out of base, the system will not then attempt to use a mixture of gathering heroes as the backup. When you actually have other fighting heroes sitting there in the base that it doesn't use. Either we can specify it (by being able to add second choices in the back up if we want to), or the system picks the strongest heroes available and not random gathering heroes. It also makes a different sort of mistake, where for example Shinji is perked for air and has air skills attached, then substitutes him in the army march - it's just a really weak implementation

These people can also be used in the right time. By right time, I mean when it is burn baby burn time, they can immediately leave the alliance while inside the hive and start burning anyone near the hive.
