It's just impossible to set now, just the same as yesterday. If your main navy or air march for example is in base, you want to use that as the backup for your ships or air. But if it is out, you just want to be able to pick backup. They left it as before where system picks random hopeless heroes and combinations - just so sad so see such a bad "fix" that hasn't achieved the whole main point

i despair at this game. last year we write in the suggestions area how to do it. And it's not complicated. It ruins battles if you have the system picking ridiculous heroes to defend - I'm lucky I have 2 air marches. Last week in a fight I had my air backup out of base. No way to specify the second march heroes as backup. And it chose Lancaster and Zizak as 2 back up. Just a joke. And so easy to fix. In the backup tab where you choose the heroes for the 3 types, you just add second choice sets of three. So easy to do. We tell them. And they just waste time building rubbish
