Hey, I’m going through my first Terra Aurore , and well..ours is quite demotivating. Us and a bunch of other servers got paired against a server that had about 2-3 months on all our servers of server creation date. If you could imagine tons of new players are in the server and Day 1 the dominate server has a 3 hero combo already and half of us are like trying to figure out how to breathe air for the first time.

So we have another 6 days to go, they control all the gates , are judge, jury and executioner on all of the rules and we’ll, we can’t do much.

Day by day the server is getting quite , we don’t even full team battles in ark. I’m now on day 2 of being sidelined for the whole ark because there isn’t any opponents and so is alot of people

My questions is what can we do (except spending my life savings to level up) . Because I’m in for a fight.

For perspective I’m level 74 and they have I would say 11 level 80 above .

can we bring in outside help, is there a holy godlike top war figure that can come out of the sky and bless us or..?? Legit though I wanna battle and it just role so any advice would help and be appreciated

no, different chip types do not have different randomized stats that are higher or lower (the only things that are different are the effect)

the only way to target an attribute, say def, is overclocking

the base stat, randomized stats are the same across all chips

the effect on each chip is different - the stats are randomized and do not depend on chip type but the effect (this is shamsir effect) matters a bit

commonly accepted "good" are ring of cosmos and sham/etc., but the effects aren't TOO big

some chips are better for specialized marches - ignition could use dagger, navy splash dmg could use sasanian, general debuff marches (ex. navy debuff march with suyu) can use estoc, etc.

it doesn't matter TOO much though so I wouldn't pay too much attention to it yet whe you start

Decorations and skill shard boxes are more valuable.

Base skins you will be able to get in gacha (your server probably will have gacha) for gems. And, anyway, base skins give less stats than decorations and shard boxes (both skill and decor shards). Plus, it's less expensive.

easiest rule is make sure you in the main alliance in your server so you can get more cic from silo rewards. no need to buy speed ups with gems, you get those speed ups from alliance defence. prioritize to upgrade the class perk tree first then excesses can go to suppressions

Star road finishes with S5 and opening of server for transfers. This means, you can go to other servers, but they also have Star road finished.

You can start on completely new server, but then again, you have to leave your items unused on the old character.

Start with army.

Most units for start.

Later, as techs are developed, and after New World, you get more unit space (for odinium techs and from decor sets), which opens up navy as viable option even for f2p (f2p can get gold shards, skill shards are much harder deal, but after few months, you can get enough for 2 es5, which should go to indestructible heroes).

Navy is also strongest due to its natural suppression, plus navy suppression is the strongest (check guide on suppression). But main issue with navy is not enough unit space for f2p. Which can be solved as described above.

Air force would not be my choice for f2p for a long time (if ever). Lack of unit space and relatively weak against army, which most players use anyway. Main strength for air would be free Valhalla repairs, but f2p to get Lancaster and make him es5? I don't think it's doable at all. I'm not sure even if Lancaster can be obtained at all now (didn't see him often in any store).

Thus, to make it shorter:

1. Start with army
2. If you decide you can, go with navy and do two unit types, but prefer navy, much stronger than army.
3. Air is not for f2p

sorry for taking the video down. i just thought i best not critized him too much. most of it was about how having an alt can effect drop rate then he went on about skill dmg wasnt good enough and better for us to have more gold catylists. but it was unclear why thats better or possible. but its a video done in 2024. so well need an update of what happened. hopefully the devs didnt change anything, as we need the rare skills for heros. and we will keep them. but its a classic example of one person making decisions for us and not so much delegating to a vote before giving info. i always say its better to have more than one opinion always. and then we can find out the best solution.

Plus, I'd advise to wait for gem points before doing gacha.

If you're f2p, you should have 45k gems by then, or if you spend 55k, at least, probably even more.

Base skin is worth more than lucky numbers, so, I'd skip them if f2p, or go for both if you spend money (buy weekly gems)

If you can get one of the ones in the Exchange pool, you will be able to trade them for a newer hero in a few months when they rework everything.

I'm sitting on 200 gold shards. I can either get Binary to 4 stars or make Lin and Carna 3 star. Everyone says focus, but there are complicating factors. 1) People are starting to get level 6 mines, which require 3 star SSRs to mine. 2) It's early game and veryone plays Army, so the top players are going Navy. A strong Air Force could do more damage to counter the meta. 3) I'm stuck on expedition 7-30 (strong, fast Navy) and I want to see if my Air Force with some suppression can get through it rather than just powering up my Army.

200 shards is nothing. Best advice you can follow is to upgrade a hero to max stars instantly. If you go step by step you have a chance there is a new hero coming while you still upgrading the old one. Save shards (especially the ES skill shards) and make it 5* and lvl5 es in an instant. If a new hero appears while you are saving you can switch to that one without losing shards.

Same for all things in TW, focus on main first. Suppression? Don't level up all at once, go for your main only. Once that is done, go for the other 2

It's hard in the beginning, you want to spend it all. Start saving the rare items you need later on in the game, they are the biggest hold back items. Power cores, Remould papers, Mastery papers. Get what you can now, you need a lot of them later in the game.

This is not true for f2p or very low spenders on new servers.

They can't get 620 shards just like that. Valid strategy for them is to use 3, or even 2 star heroes, work with 4 stars later, and 5 star only when server is much older (S5 for most of them, if they know what to do).

Most people are army. And, stronger ones will be navy. So, your better choice is to go navy too.

Air is hard to maintain, and if you're truly big spender, you use all three unit types anyway, so you choose suppression at the moment's notice.

Just go with navy, work on it.

You use gems to speed up research, which you will need to be competitive in individual and you use vit to kill dark forces which give you lots of individual points. That being said the dark forces that appear later on with stars give more points so use more of your vit later and also if you combine when a baking master event is on that is the best time to push as you can also collect all rewards there.

Old heroes you could only buy for money, or extremely old heroes could be had in heroes return event.

We should get new hero system that can make so many things different that we don't know anything about it. So many things are unknown at the moment, it's hard to comment.

Before, the best way was to just wait for new heroes and use them. New system might even prevent getting new heroes on a ground of there not being new heroes. Which also means, old heroes will have to be obtainable in new ways, otherwise new players will be in really bad situation.

So, yeah, now is not the good time to do much with heroes...

Season 5 has regular rotation, so, no difference in events.

Also, the funny thing is, S5 is full of super whales (over 100M CP). We have a group of them now. And yes, we do lose SvS, we lost most fights during lunar new year fights. About the same ratio I had with my main in champ season.

So, you can follow S5 if you want, but it won't save you from super whales.

Reason is matching algorithm which does work to some extent for most servers. My main doesn't get matched with super whales. My 4110 guide writing character does. 😄

So the heroes in the “exchange pool” are ones that are getting replaced and can be used to exchange for the new ones. Which are the heroes in the “heroes can be redeemed” section

So if you have 3 old navy heroes from the “exchange pool” you can exchange them for the new ones in 2/3 months when the hero exchange event comes

Crimson at the moment is 3 generations behind (Crimson, Zhen, Shen).

My advice, wait for a new heroes. Make them to 4*. You will be much stronger with 3 heroes that are new and at 4 ⭐ then Crimson at 5.

Each perk is generally about 400 shards so to answer your question, roughly 20 20s

It’s also best to use basic hero shards if you can. Any of the heroes obtained via vouchers are easier to perk up.

1. Level basic hero to 5*
2. Gather shards for that hero (I did batches of 200 or so)
3. Spend 1000 gems to move the perk set from your target hero to the basic hero
4. Use the basic hero shards to perk up
5. Spend 1000 gems to put back on target hero (you can also spend 1000 gems to move to another maxed basic hero with a lot of shards to continue perking)

Always best to save up so you don’t spend so many gems tossing back and forth but it’s much better than orange shards

Don't mind what seasons mean, just know that transfers open after about 7 months (it's a bit different for each server). WarriorJ said the order of events before transfer opens, if you want to know that.

Is the component strategy different then it used to be? I know that HRF, armor, atk, dmg inc and dmg dec was the standard, and for boss you replace defensive ones with hit and crit rate and crit dmg. But now I saw many people run different components for different unit types - is that something new? or they use different for offense/defense?

Just battle reports. Some run dodge, hit etc, basically different components on each unit. And those were stacked accounts so I doubt it was lack of components

This is the standard components for PvP, but it’s hard for F2P or low spending players to get all these in 3 units in a short period of time.

So it’s common to see they’ve placed the standard PvP comps on their main march, the rest on other unit type as they lack the components/resources.

All in good time you can collect them for a F2p acc.

No point of putting comps on a troop type you don't have, your better off focusing on your main March and maybe a secondary if you can. Don't spread yourself thin working on 3 marches unless you plan to spend on the game quite a bit

It is always the number of units you have sent + X units for the others to join

Lets say you have the tech maxed - 130 units. When you send a march of 170, the total rally size will be 300

he may not send his max march size rally when rallying warhammers, so even though max march size for you both is roughly the same, he sends smaller rally marches

hence total units is (your ms)+130 > (his ms)+130

For the new hero system, wanted to see others thoughts on this; I have Zhen 3* but never finished. She can be exchanged eventually. Do you think I need to have her 5* before the exchange starts or I can 5* her then exchange once the new system is live? It’s a way I can “cheat up” without needing as many resources
