In my testing, Valka Stoick Alvida are better.

Maybe for whales who can have full stats and any runes they want, Jill Shen Alvida would be better, I didn't test it. You can check it easily in next hero trial.

But, for most players Valka Stoick combo is better.

You get them from various events, like individual defense, alliance defense, etc, plus for doing reward quests, you get shards for white and green blueprints, so you can get them over time.

But, generally speaking, your main goal is to get at least blue, or purple. Ultimate goal is to get all gold (except for chip, there's only one gold chip).

Hi, as you're f2p, well, you can't be very competitive in battles.

But, over time, you should be able to get at least gold shards relatively regularly to get heroes with gems. With some events (flippy cards, lucky numbers) and just playing actively, you can afford heroes from time to time.

Right now, it would be best if you wait for new navy heroes, and make them 4 stars, which is about 3 heroes for price of one at 5 stars. But, if you paused for a long time, you don't have good heroes, and you have to wait for new good navy heroes to appear for gems...

In short, you don't have a good move to make with those gold shards right now. So, just play, wait, and with time it will happen. As you said, you can't do much, you are too low level, f2p, and you missed many heroes that are good now

You can use dmg+ on some heroes and dmg- on others

It's very simple, just choose boost stats when you can, use the best heroes you have, and in strongest (first) march put all the HTs that you have available. And, for all HTs change them to work with your best heroes (if they are air heroes, make them air, etc). Main thing to know is, you do that separately from regular HT unit type.

With boosters, you will advance slowly.

When you start, conserve resources. Wait for really good heroes, etc.

But, when you do have good heroes, lvl 120 is the way to go. Which is not at first for f2p or low spenders

Diana is not your hero that you should focus.

Diana is good for fighting dark legion units. She is great for that. You need heroes to fight people. When I see someone with Diana, even if I'm f2p, I know I'll win.

Check my guide, there are heroes that were in Hero Vault when I started on 4110. These are good heroes to (rationally) work on them for fighting people.

Later, in regular rotation, you will get better heroes, indestructible heroes too, to use when you get to 3 hero march. But, never go with Diana.

Hi, I've got a basic Q on HT Chip upgrades. I have upgraded the first two (yellow / red) nearly to the max, but I did it completely wrong because I just didn't understand the process. I just used any old chip...so my stats got badly diluted. First question - is it worth it for me to remove those chips and start from scratch to do it the right way or just not worry and do it for the other HTs? Second, when using a chip for upgrade, how closely should I match the ship to the slot (like which way the little arrow points)?

Sometimes when I click to attack Dark Force Army it shows an Army Unit but when I actually go to attack it it turns out to be Navy or Air Force and it does it on all units but not everytime. Sometimes the troops turn out to be what they say they are

If you talk about rewards, they are random.

Depending on type of dark legion unit you attack, you get different type of rewards (build building, merge building, or unit type reward), but for random type of units (it can be for army, navy or air).

Warhammers give box that can give all types of rewards.

Thank you for your response. I'll read the guide. I don't see how to remove one or more chips from a set instead of removing the whole set at once. As for the second question, as an example, when I was upgrading chips in the past, say chips in slot 2 which focus on the HT stats, and not things like Army, AF, Navy stats, I was just using every chip in the inventory regardless of what the stats were, so like I was putting "Army HP Boost" chips in a slot where I should have focused on "HT Attack" or things like that. Basically, I have not been optiminzing my chips into the appropriate slots, and wonder if that has hindered my HT capabilities.

If you aim for perfect chip, you first should do center chip, and stats are all units def, and unit type def.

Unit type is, of course, for unit type you will use with that chip.

Thing is, Jett es5 over Jett es3 is about 11% better (bonus from es5)

New mechanic from es5 gets triggered rarely, almost never.

Plus, influence from one hero in 3hm, unless it invokes some synergy is 1/3 (about 4% in this case). And here we don't have mechanic from es5, so no additional synergy.

My tests done with many people who have Jett es5 have shown and proved it. I have tested it for quite some time before I decided to not invest 1800 skill shards in Jett es5.

Well, yes, mechanic of getting burns at the start of round are triggered, but influence is very small, especially compared with burns from hiccup, which makes Jett contribution small in 3hm (I'm talking here about Jett es5 contribution, to be specific, and not Jett contribution)

Thank you, so here's the stats for the red trooper, and a shot of the chips, highlighting slot 6 (I haven't had a chance to read the guide yet...my life is nuts, but here I am playing a game, lol). I experimented a little bit, just using chips that point down and right similar to Slot 6, I didn't see any stat adjustments that way either.

It seems like any other chips I used with stats, that should have gone to other slots are all consumed, I don't see them in that list below. So I can tell you I've probably put a couple hundred chips into Slot 6, but only the ones displayed are ones I could remove, so I think those other ones are gone, and I just used them for experience.

So maybe the right question to ask going forward, is 1) is it worth it to remove one or more of the base chips and start over to upgrade the right way, and 2) basic rules for selecting which chips to use when upgrading a slot.

You have to be able to use latest, as they are usually the best (but not always).

And lvl 80 for new servers is just a month or two, till there's new world. So, I would not invest too much in lvl 80 things.

Valhalla units are expensive. They cost more than regular units. And, if you're not strong (and rich enough), they can prevent you from fighting.

People just go with Valhalla units, and then they stop fighting to save units. Well, it works for some. For me, well, I do play to fight. So, you have to decide for yourself.

And lvl 80 valhalla is soon to be scraped due to low level. It's true that lvl 80 valhalla is better than lvl 100 valhalla, but it's useless with so low level.
