but more effective because it is in lesser quantity than dmg decrease, because that's how the equation for dmg calculation works

They are part of damage mitigation formula, you have first HP, which is affected by DMG decrease, and then whole damage is also affected by DEF. It's like: HP x DMG dec x DEF (with caveat, we really don't know the whole formula :D).

I can give you some numbers and then agian those numbers mean useless because if you have more hp dmg dec get better. and as dmg dec get better def gets better too.
Lets say 1 def = x dmg dec.
at 1.5k hp that may be true. But 2k hp it might not be because dmg dec get scaled abit with dmg dec. so x+ y dmg dec something at 2k hp. where y is the scaled amount.

If you can afford, weekly gems are also great. Spending for events, usually wait for collab events, they last 21 days, and you can save vouchers for next collab of same type (for example, Kung Fu Panda), which can get you base skin, or whatever you would value.

If you plan to spend, go mostly for things that last "forever", and that you can't get over time for free.

For almost everyone just need to reach 7k pts, so i think just all in pve. Until you are hurt real bad then switch pvp but most likely you already reach 7k by then. Unless you want the best result to calculate the most pts you can get for ranking.

Pvp comp for more hp and better survival doesnt always 100% better than more dmg = enemies less troops = less dmg taken. Imo, the guide is just a guideline to follow, the best thing is everyone need to test for themselves to know what is the best for them.

New ID and new rules change many things. Right now, is all about to reach 7k pts, nothing behind that really matters much, unless you are very strong. Old rules before you lose units = less pts, new rule, kill 1 troop = 1 pt and no lose pts for unit dmg. So every wave now has fixed pts, we just need to know how many waves to reach 7k pts. Wave 30+ difficulty increased ridiculously so now its intended for like 5% players where everyone is above 60-70m+ can make a difference using pvp comp. Otherwise not matter much since your base will be 1 shot.

Is a tricky question. Left gives you dmg+ but is lost with every lost battle once you loose morale. Right is dmg- and is there to stay regardless of the morale level. Middle is just garbage. So, best but not prettiest, will be right then left followed by center. Probably you will opt for left, right center. In both cases you get something. I would suggest to do them alternatively. One left, one right and so on.

Because the new description makes everyone confused, the old description is consistent with people who know. Its used to say hero give HP shield, so all term about shield will added HP to that "blue bar"

I would personally think atk/HP stats have better priority than INV and crit dmg purely because if I have more ATK and HP means my stats on DEF, dmg inc, and dmg dec gonna support it both at certain point

To make things simple, just try to get anything related to HP shield and DEF, since the value of those higher. The more complex the more confusion you have if you cant handle all of those datas

DEF is the rarest stats to get so the value is high. HP shield is scaling so its always good to have it.

Just make things simple so when we look at it, it will be easy to understand.

Atk/Hp is the foundation of 1 unit. Then dmg+/- is the layer of weapon/armor to protect you dmg.

HP shield is the outer layer on top of everything else.

In a simple summary a MM who has very low march size and very high troop count can use this mechanic against anyone attacking their base and get a victory. It's rare to occur, but definitely possible.

To be honest, it is not worth the trouble. Having a very high troop count while keeping a low march size means you have a bigger troop supply which will burn through quicker and will be more costly to repair in long term.

You have to find a balance you're happy with maintaining.

Does the attribute list comprise all the advantages? My enemy has 34% increase to each of his heroes which I presume to be a lvl 8 personal skill.

Attribute list is not comprehensive. Devs have been working on making it more accurate but they add more features which don't always get represented.
The base stats of a unit by level for instance isn't listed on the report but it's a significant difference maker. You'd probably be safe to assume that the unit attributes scale 10% per level. The hero skill scaling also isn't shown with equipped exclusive skills.

My honest opinion is focus on fighting at your level to see what works, we all eventually hit the LVL cap and thats when you can really worry about hitting the big guys (and still doing no damage to them)
