for most players, that means Binary for Ella

The new system seems more like hype than actual benefit. The only thing I noticed reading descriptions is that the new lvl5 has some of the perks that lvl7 used to have. Seems 5 got a boost and less need for average player to go to 7

That effect on its own is pretty weak. 0.75% only. For you to go higher you need to be at lvl20 already in awakening. That’s why i say for average people awakening is negligible imo. Compare 0.75% to the 15% ignition boost you get out of a free lucky ignition rune lol

2. I see for each hero 740 es skills are needed to max out to lvl40. If you swap over hero that is es7 to new hero I know new hero gets to es7. But that is 729 es skills. So does that mean you have to get an additional 11 to get to 740 to max out to lvl 40?

3. Similar to question 2, for gold shards. When u swap over hero I assume that would be equivalent to 620 gold shards so to get the 1140 you would have to use an additional 520 to max out for lvl40?

4. Similar to questions 1, for Stones needed you have a number in () that is also *5. What is that number for?

5. Any chance you would be willing to send me a data dump of all this new hero data to a CSV, JSON or any other type of file so I can use for my Spreadsheets for the game?

1,3,5 : Leveling up works the same as 5star'ing heroes, 1 level = 5tiers hence to level it up 2 star etc need to lvl it x5, can check above images others posted about leveling up skills etc

For question 2, you will keep the es7 (but for the new hero), for fully awakening it you basically need another 1.5 es7

My first impression is that you want es7 first before you consider fully awakening.

As from es5 you would have two options, either start awakening till a certain level or keep saving for the regular es7

Example works best I think. If you now have binary at es7, you can swap for free to Ella and receive skills to get Ella to es7. So it’s a 1 on 1 swap. But for awakening to lvl40, you will need another 1140 skills for Ella

Technically you could go from es7 on your current hero to es5 on the new one and use the remaining shards for awakening. If my math is right you could go to lvl37~38 then (729-81 =648). The awakening would then give you like 50% dmg inc and 200% attack. The question is if that would be better than just go for the regular es7

After that, you need 1140 gold (or hero) shards, and 740 exclusive skills (much more expensive than gold shards). And, this is just a part of the cost, as you need stones, to raise 4 skills to tier 10 (9k stones).

It's not 740 skill shards, it's 740 skills (x25 in skill shards).

Fully maxed hero, if we calculate price of the stones in total cost is about es8, that is 3x es7, or about 5k USD (still not exactly sure on the price of stones, all available avenues, but some for sure will be more expensive than others).

The new hero system is nothing more than a cash grab to negate money already spent. It’s worse than releasing hero’s every month because they are adding an entirely new spend category. Another significant game change making it more expensive to grow and be strong.

Not really.

To activate that part, you have to spend a lot, thus, you have to be able to spend regularly large sums.

Without that big additional investment, es7 stays more or less same. In short, if 1.8k USD is not an issue for you, Awakening also won't be an issue and you can afford it, just one more way of spending.

In long run I don't see big (or any) changes in pecking order.

So what will happen to all the other heroes that are not in the new system? Can they still be used? I can’t seem to find any FAQ. I found information about new heroes individually etc and the system itself. For example I have many heroes at ES7 that are not in the new system and they use to work better than new heroes with ES5 so I kept them. But yeah can we use still old heroes or it will only be 18 heroes moving forward.

The NoobNoob video confirms you only need 1 hero in the pool to unlock all 6 new heros for the branch. It just takes 10 gs.

You would then still need to level them up though

None of the heroes are going away. If you want to do the awakening on heroes, it has to be the core 18 heroes though. If you spend money (sounds like you do), then working on the core 18 might make the most sense as they’re the only ones that continue to improve.

We should be able to use old heroes as previously.

So far, they probably will function normally, they just won't have Awakening part of new system. Depending if you're big spender or not, it will be more or less important. But, new heroes are better even without Awakening part, so, for best marches you want new heroes anyway.

For secondary marches, you will use old heroes, as there's only 6 possible new combos, which means only defense and primary attack. Secondary attack will have to be done with old heroes

Well, first of all, I was not comparing Lilia and Valka.

Then, Valka is better, but slightly. Heroes before, new generations were 30-40% better. Lately, new generations are usually 5-10% better.

If you don't plan to invest heavily in Awakening (probably cost of 4-5k €/USD), you can safely stay with Valka, at least I plan to skip Awakening due to high cost, and until prices go down a bit (i.e. there will be more cheap stone sources)
