Explain what secret abilities do somewhere at some point

Seeing them triggered on either side but have 0 context on what they do just makes them feel like they do nothing at all and made me instantly give up on wanting to find more after the first lol

Or at the very least, if you don't want to show it in game for whatever reason, unhide the secret ability symbol and add the description to the card you found it for in your collections

If anyone wants to explain cosmic horror to me feel free cuz i just assumed it was a cosmetic thing only with the pop up but discussions on discord seem to imply there's an effect going on - though i can't find what and how exactly

I just didn't see it in the list of my other like 20 effects applied to that card lmao

I do stand by that we should get some indicator of what card combination we unlocked though rather than needing to rely on memory or never unequipping the card combination from your deck

There’s a wiki page about it somewhere, if I’m remembering correctly. Also, it wouldn’t exactly be a “secret ability” if they just told you what it does.

Sure but After you already figured out what cards to combine is there any point in not telling you that you can combine these cards / what effect it has lol
Kinda difficult to play with or against effects if you have to guess or manually go back to check the log for every card to see what might have changed
You don't really get a lot of time for this midgame i feel
And i don't even know if you can see the effects applied that turn doing that or if you can only do that while they're still on the board

The secret abilities used to be a part of "Achievements" before Adventures were introduced. I totally agree what you suggested. It just don't make sense to remember all the secret abilities as some will influence the match points heavily. (Chaos, for example).

I clicked on every card and energy and power thing and couldn't find anything
Is this implying it changes the description only? A visual change?
If so presumably only during the game since i couldn't find anything different afterwards either
It doesn't mention how it's triggered but i assume it's if it's the first turn of a round
Reddit says it's if you get it in the first turn both of you get +3 energy per turn that round but like
The default draw effect is already +3 energy for three turns

Either way this is just annoying
"Go look it up online cuz someone else probably guessed the effect for you and wrote it down somewhere" isn't particularly great game design imo
