Courtesy of WanderingSable, I was given the idea to suggest to Avid that they should spend a balance change by giving each common card with currently no effect its very own effect. They did that for Festive Traditions, and it was a hit!

I have posted many suggestions on this server for such effects that I feel would add a decent amount of new options; especially for newer players! Check ‘em out! 😉

I feel some cards should remain without abilities. Lots of commons are like that, because they're weak on their own, but strong with buffs, that's their whole gimmick

I understand for cards like cheetah though. A Limleg that does NOTHING

Tbh, instead of having each card with no ability have its own effect, I'd much rather they release a card / a few cards that enable abilitiless decks.

It ensures that the cards with no abilities actually retain some form of a niche. By giving abilities to each card, there is always the likelihood that they will be outclassed by other cards with similar abilities.

It will be quite difficult to come up with an ability unique to each card because with some many cards in the game, there is bound to be some form of overlap in abilities, and the card with the better secondary ability / album / collection would just outclass the other.

The pool of cards with no abilities is also much, much smaller than the pool of cards with abilities, so remaining in the abilitiless pool would have them see less competition with other cards, giving them a higher chance of seeing actual usage in game.

Just releasing a single card that supports abilitiless cards can potentially open up some alternatives to how some collections are being played. Collections with a huge number of abilitiless cards could see more variety in the way that they are being played. Frogs, Cool Cats and Ancient Creatures are some examples.

Also with so many abilitiless cards being of Common Rarity, Templar decks could be revived and see more usage than what it is seeing now if support is given to abilitiless cards.
