I have made a previous post about tags already and asked that they stop adding new tags without support and to give support to existing tags as a way to improve them and make them potentially viable decks to use. Since then we have gotten more tags some of which are: "Witch", "Angel", "Angel Oceans and Seas" (yes they made both "Angel" as a whole tag and specifically "Angel Oceans and Seas" as a separate tag), "Blood", and now "Gold" Now with this new week they did show us new cards which will utilize some older tags including "Devil" and "Fox" which I am happy about

The reason I am BEGGING you to stop adding new tags is because the majority of the cards that use these new tags are 1 off cards and often aren't even that good. For example, the Angelfish Cluster card uses the "Angel Oceans and Seas tag" (similar to Mega Paleontology) which only affects 5 cards in the game. The new "Blood" tag for the first WAF card coming to the game only affects 8 cards with no real synergy between them other than 3 of them being science cards

Another reason I am BEGGING you to stop adding new tags, is because of the new tags you've added so far, none of them appear as actual text on the cards within the "tag" section of card information. Tags like "Angel Oceans and Seas", "Witch", and "Nuclear" which all have cards in game that use these tags do not appear on the cards

Also another reason, you have the tags of "Galapagos" and "Panther" which have been in the game for a while (and show up as text on the cards that have the tag) yet there is no card in game that uses either of these tags

So again to try and improve tags I am asking you to STOP adding new tags and to give support to other tags already in game to make them viable so that the cards that have the tags have meaning and so that the cards that use the tags aren't inherently useless or bad.

This is what I mean by the tags not being written. These are all new tags with cards in the game that affect them, yet they are not written out like other tags. These aren’t all the cases of this but a select few examples

Another idea to improve tags:
Change cards like these to use the tags instead. It makes these kinds of cards more useful and gives use to the tags. These 2 cards would be changed to “your cards with ‘crocodile’ in their name gain +25 power this turn” “your other cards with ‘whale’ in their name gain +40 power this turn” this does mean going back to these older cards when these new tags are released but I think it’s worth it.

Another idea would be to change some cards to use the tags over specific cards.
Instead of affecting Hair specifically, have it affect “hair” cards. “Your cards with ‘hair’ in their name, wherever they are, gain +20 power until played”

Some cards use the specifics while others don’t, and I wish they would use the tags a little more since it would also allow for more flexibility.
“If played next to another card with ‘fire’ in its name, your LOL cards in hand gain +20 power until played”

Ghost is by far the worst offender of this. These are only a few examples of where this idea could be used, and these are only a few of the cards that could be changed to use the tags.
“If your deck contains a card with ‘ghost’ in its name…”
“If you have played a card with ‘ghost’ in its name…”

Doing this would allow for more flexible deck building so that you don’t have to include a very specific card to at isn’t always useful

Another idea is combing tags. Someone else already made a post about this(https://discord.com/channels/646709318904840197/1223437657124765787) where they talked about joining the “hell”, “devil” and creating a “demon” tag as a trio of tags.
I’m proposing the joining of “death” and “dead” as well as the joining of “gold” (newest tag) and “golden”
"if played next to any card with 'gold' or 'golden' in its name, your cards with 'gold' or 'golden' in the name, wherever they are, gain +14 power permanently

The way I imagine this working is by having the joined tags be one tag instead of separate ones, and any card that asks for one of them will ask for all of them. For my custom colletion I have the created the tags of "train", "metro", and "rail" however every card I have created that uses any of them, asks for all of them. The idea being that instead of it being 3 separate tags, it is instead 1 tag of "train, metro, or rail" and each card that would affect any 1 will ask to affect any 3 like shown in the images

galapagos marine reserve was supposed to buff galapagos cards but the ability was changed, Idk if it was changed before or after release but yeah, and the same thing probably happened with panther cause it's a pretty old tag. New tags are usually added around 1 month before the card buffing the tag release but sometimes the ability of a card is changed shortly before its release (or even after) and I believe it's what happened.

Yeah that makes sense. But the thing by is, the tag is on a few more cards than ones mentioned on the Marine Reserve which is what I find interesting. Again that would I be one that could be changed going back to my point of changing old cards to use tags instead of a bunch of specific cards

The idea is to reduce the number of tags in the game, there are currently 87 tags in the game. So the idea being to combine some of them that way any cards that use or buff tags, aren’t as bad as some are right now. The cards that have a very specific niche that so for this example, the “death” and “dead” tags (archetypes) would be one in the same rather than 2 separate ones

I understand the point of merging them but you will lose specificity which may not be what they wanted when they made a "death" and "dead" tag. Also I don't think the problem lies in the amount of tags, if we add 87 good tags that made sense and created interesting decks, I wouldn't really find any problem, it's more about the stupid tags and the lack of support which is more related to how they choose which cards to release and what abilities they decide to give to those cards

Yes its true that merging tags loses that specificity. However the reason I am proposing this is because of how Avid releases cards. Going off of the cards currently in game and how they release them, most tags they create are left with less than 3 cards that actually utilize said tag (often only being a single card that does) very few tags have 5 or more cards that use them, with only a single tag (moon) having double digits of cards that utilize the tag. The idea of combining tags is to make them more viable. So with the "death" vs "dead" example, a card that buffs death would also buff dead and vise versa. The reason being, "death" has 6 cards that buff it while "dead" has 1. If we combine the tags, then the archetype would have 7 cards that buff it rather than being split of 6-1. The thing is though, the merging of tags are ones that are similar, so while it does lose some specificity, it doesn't lose much considering there is little difference between "death" and "dead or "gold" and "golden" I understand not merging tags that are loosely connected but ones that are basically the same thing like the listed examples I don't see them losing the small amount of separation is bad idea, considering it would just allow the archetype as a whole to be better

yeah they haven't added anything that supports regular "angel" yet and the fact they created that tag first makes me wonder if it'll be a forgotten tag like "panther" and "Galapagos" it seems like Oceans Angel is more of a result to how they code tags and how they interact with albums, see non-oceans blue, mega paleo, red LoL. which just is a little awkward for them when they also have the Angel tag

What do you mean "white lily" support? White lily is a specific card in game that The Angel requires for it. There is no tag on any cards with "white" in the name currently on them and like how @scenic sleet pointed out, they release the tag a bit before the actual card comes to the game. But if they were to add "white" then I'd love for them to revisit "black" considering that's in the game and has 36 cards currently with the tag. I'd love for them to parallel each other if they were to ever add "white"

But I mean, why are they making important and a "want to play card"? Because the game wants you to play with it and it's planning to add More content related to it
And White Lily buffs"Cloud" so... Maybe there will be More cards with cloud
Or a cloud Will become a TAG
Or cloud, heaven and angel will merge into "heavenly", "angels", "sky guardians", something
